Jesus Christ resurrected from death to life on the third day he was buried. Christ had already resurrected while his depressed disciples were busy searching for his missing body. God’s angel reminded the disciples of the infallible word of God as the scripture stated that he ought to resurrect from death and live forever!
The event of Jesus’ resurrection was reported,
“Now on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they, and certain other women with them, came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared. But they found the stone rolled away from the tomb. Then they went in and did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. And it happened, as they were greatly perplexed about this, that, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments. Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, saying, ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again’” (Luke 24:1-7). Meanwhile, Jesus himself appeared to some of his disciples after resurrection and he reminded them that God had ordained it that he must resurrect from death (Luke 24:13-16; Luke 24:25-27; Luke 24:36-42).
Jesus’ Death Was For The Salvation Of Many Souls
Jesus Christ resurrected from death to life; Satan lost the battle, and he shall remain defeated forever! The enemy had made his worse onslaught against Jesus, but he did not prevail.
Satan insinuated Jesus’ death with the hope that Christ would be silenced forever; however, he lost his battle over Jesus since death could not hold him to the grace. Christ resurrected on the third day!
Jesus’ resurrection from death has earned the gift of eternal life for his followers. This means whosoever confesses Jesus Christ as his or her personal Lord and Savior will resurrect from death to live eternally with God.
Death and hell do not have power over Christians. Christ will resurrect his believers on the last day, and he will award them eternal life in the presence of God. Hallelujah!
Praise God, Jesus Christ resurrected from death! Praise God, the resurrection of Christ has earned me the gift of eternal life! Shame on the devil and glory to God forever more!
I am a believer of Jesus Christ and I am a partaker of his resurrection. Since I am a born-again Christian, sin, and death do not have power over me anymore. Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. Henceforth, I will live happily and proclaim the gospel of Jesus to everyone around me. I will also preach the gospel throughout the world. Praise God, I am saved through Jesus Christ; I am saved forever! Amen!
Jesus Christ challenged Christians to forgive offenses at all costs. Jesus said,
“If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him” (Luke 17:3-4).
God pardons our sins without asking for a penny in return; therefore, we should also forgive people who have offended us without asking for a price. God will definitely bless us, if we can reciprocate love for any sense of hurt and/or disappointment that we may have suffered from others.
Prayer For Holy Spirit Empowerment To Forgive Others
Dear God, please help me to forgive people who have wronged me. Help me to demonstrate a graceful heart towards them. An act of forgiveness can be challenging; therefore, I ask that you please empower me by the Holy Spirit to completely forgive others. Please help me to stay strong so that devil can be ashamed as I graciously forgive others! Give me the grace and power to operate in liberty through forgiveness. For in the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.
Christianity Isn’t Exclusive To Saints, It’s Meant For All
(Luke 15)
Jesus Christ admonished the Pharisees to shun their religious dogma and become God’s true children. The Pharisees criticized Jesus for preaching the gospel to the sinners, but he corrected them with an illustration. Jesus said,
“What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’ I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance” (Luke 15:4-7).
Heaven Rejoices Over The Conversion Of Just One Sinner
A man may segregate but God does not segregate anyone. The Creator loves everyone equally; he opens his hands widely to receive any converted sinner so that he (or she) can gain an access to his kingdom.
God-The heavenly Father is always happy to see a sinner who repents of his sins. In fact, the scripture stated the angels in heaven rejoice over any single sinner who repents of his sin and turns to Jesus Christ (Luke 15:7,10).
Dear Lord Jesus Christ, please save the unbelievers. Help them to realize who you are as the Son of God. Energize them to confess their sins and accept you as their personal Savior. I also pray that you destroy all works of Satan in the lives of your children throughout the world so that they can keep focus and be committed to serving you! Please, keep the saints steadfast in your love in order to make it to your kingdom and enjoy your everlasting benefits. For in the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.
True Believers Must Be Ready To Forgive As God Forgives Us
(Passage: Luke 15)
Jesus Christ preached forgiveness and narrated a story of the Prodigal Son to support his sermon. The boy regarded as the Prodigal Son in the story pestered his father to grant him the portion of his inheritance. (He wanted to inherit his father while still alive.) The father was disappointed of his son’s approach, but he granted his wish anyway.
The boy collected his inheritance from his father and travel farther away from home. He visited a foreign land and lavished all he had received. He became poor and suffered. One day, the boy came to his senses and realized how foolish he was to have inherited his father (while still alive) and lavished the resources.
The Prodigal Son acknowledged his mistakes and repented. He decided to return home and beg for his father’s forgiveness. He prepared a persuasive poem for his father as he faces his fate. However, the boy was surprised that his father accepted him back easily and forgave him. The father said to his servants,
“Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ And they began to be merry” (Luke 15:22-24).
Dear God, I know you love sinners, I also know you hate sin; therefore, I am determined to repent of my sins and return to serving you in holiness. I am sorry for my past mistakes; please forgive me! I promise to faithfully serve you from now on; please give me the grace and power to do so! Help me to obey your instructions, and please count me worthy of your kingdom. For in the name of Jesus Christ, I have prayed. Amen.
A True Christian Should Understand That A Deal With Jesus Is A Done Deal
(Passage: Luke 18)
Peter wanted to know his stake with Jesus Christ since he has compromised in many ways for the sake of pleasing him. Jesus responded to Peter’s request and said,
“Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house, or parents or brothers or wife or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, who shall not receive many times more in this present time, and in the age to come eternal life” (Luke 18:29-30).
Jesus Christ Rewards His True Followers
Jesus is a skilled “Business Man,” and he knows the best way to reward his faithful servants. Anyone who invests in Jesus’s business will not regret it. The fellow will never be bankrupt! It is always a “Win-Win” situation to serve Jesus Christ; the adventure is worthwhile, and it has both earthly and heavenly profits. Jesus will make his faithful servants prosper on earth and he will take them to heaven also!
Dear Jesus Christ, I understand that yours is a rewarding business, and I want to be involved in it. I am determined to commit myself to your business by confessing you as my personal Lord and Savior, and by faithfully serving you throughout the days of my life. In fact, I am acting on my determination right now: I (please mention your name), I confess you Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior and repent of my sins. I give my heart to Jesus Christ, and I will faithfully serve him throughout my life. Amen.
True Christians Should Avoid Unholy Means To Becoming Wealthy
(Passage: Luke 16)
Jesus Christ cautioned and warned his disciples not to be involved in unjust riches, but seek pure wealth that glorify God. Jesus said,
“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches? And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else’s property, who will give you property of your own? “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.” (Luke 16:10-13).
Unholy Pursuit Of Wealth Goes Against God’s Will
The pursuit of clean riches is not evil, but the pursuit of unclean riches is evil. Hence, Christians must not pursue riches at the expense of holiness. As children of God, we must evaluate our ambitions, and we must ensure that God’s rules are not violated. We must also, strive to be involved in only careers that glorify God. It is important to note that God keeps records of our activities, and he will duly reward us in this life, and in heaven also.
O my God, I want to be rich, but I do not want to go to hell fire! Help me pursue clean riches, and let me honor you with my resources. Let me utilize my riches to serve you and meet other people’s needs. Do not let me be punished, but let me be duly rewarded on earth and in heaven also. For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.
All Christians Should Imbibe Humility As A Core Trait
(Passage: Luke 18)
Jesus Christ explained the real meaning of humility and said,
“Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other men—extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.’ And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted” (Luke 18:10-14).
Benign Humility Radiates Through Actions
True humility is not proven with words, but with actions! All Christians are required to live in humility before God so that he can be pleased with us. Believers must consider others as important as we are, and we must treat them with respect. Also, Christians must not prejudice against others; we must offer people a sense of worth and make them feel important as God’s special creations.
It is also important, that we Christians, offer our petitions to God with respect. We should not pray with arrogance, but we must humbly tender our requests before him. God will surely grant our heart desires, and he will decorate us with his benefits.
Dear God, please make me a humble person. Enable me with the strength to honor you in all my activities. Help me to respect other people as well. Give me the grace to give others a sense of worth. I also pray that you teach me how to humbly present the gospel to other people so that they can confess your Son Jesus Christ as their Lord and be saved. For in the name of your Son Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.
True Believers Must Prepare For The Second Coming Of Jesus
Jesus Christ compared his second coming to the time of Noah when all things appeared to be going on smoothly until the flood came unexpectedly to wipe out the people of first generation. People failed to heed to Noah’s message heralding God’s warning that people must repent of their sins. God was provoked and destroyed everyone, except the family of Noah who responded to his warning. A great flood overtook the earth and everyone died! Jesus warned the people of the present generation to learn this important lesson of repentance and confess their faith in him. Jesus said,
“Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all. “It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. “It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed” (Luke 17:26-30).
Only Believers In Jesus Christ Will Be Saved
Jesus Christ will return to earth when people have least expected. Christ will rapture his saints to heaven and condemn the unbelievers to hell fire. The left-behind-people will live under the mercy of Satan (The most wicked creature in existence!)
Jesus Christ is the only deity who is worthy to advocate for sinners on God’s Last Day of Judgment! Christ, who has died for sinners will advocate for people who believe in him; he will exonerate them from the punishment of hell and grant them the passage to heaven. The Savior will declare his saints “Justified” while the unbelievers will languish in hell.
Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I want to make heaven; I do not want to go to hell fire. Please, I surrender my life to you today; I confess you – Jesus Christ – as my personal Lord and Savior. I declare that I will faithfully serve you for the rest of my life. I believe I am now saved since I have declared you as my personal Lord and Savior. Please keep my name ever written in the book of life. Thank you, Jesus Christ, for your saving grace. Praise God. Amen!
Christians Must Realize That God Is The Only Way To Salvation
(Passage: Luke 14)
Jesus Christ compared God to a rich man who was determined to accomplish his goals without accommodating distractions. He narrated the story of the rich man and said,
“Then said he unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many: And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready. And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused. And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused. And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come. So that servant came, and shewed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind. And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room. And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. For I say unto you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper” (Luke 14:16-24 KJV).
Only Worthy Christians Will Enter Heaven
There shall be no excuse adequate to persuade God to allow unrepentant sinners into heaven. God has opened his arms to all people through his Son Jesus Christ: Anyone who receives Jesus as his or her personal Lord will be accepted to heaven, and anyone who rejects his would be disallowed to enter heaven. Therefore, all people must realize that God’s word is law. He will perform whatever he has determined in his heart. Everyone ought to tremble before God and obey his commandments. We must all yield to God’s offer of salvation sent through Jesus Christ so that we can be saved and enter heaven.
Dear God, I am determined to yield to your invitation of salvation: Today, I (please mention your name here) give my life to Jesus Christ. I accept him as my personal Lord and Savior. I confess my sins and forsake them. From now on, I will serve you, and I will glorify you with every bit of my breath. Please help me to be a worthy Christian and remain qualified for your kingdom. For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.
Christians Need To Understand That God Sees Everyone Equally
(Passage: Luke 14)
Jesus Christ preached the hardest part of Christianity to his disciples and said,
“If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. And whoever does not bear his cross and come after me cannot be my disciple” (Luke 14:26-27).
Salvation Is A Personal Race
Salvation is personal, and it cannot be obtained through collective efforts. Nobody should seek the approval of another fellow before he or she turns to Jesus Christ. God requires everyone on earth to personally accept Jesus Christ, as his or her personal Lord and Savior. Anyone who believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God shall be saved. However, a person who refuses to accept the Lordship of Jesus Christ shall be condemned in hell fire (John 3:18).
I understand that salvation is a personal journey; therefore, I confess my faith in Jesus Christ instantly. I accept him as my personal Lord and Savior, and I am determined to serve him throughout the days of my life. I also, confess my sins and repent from them. I ask God to enable me with the ability to remain faithful to him for the rest of my life. For in the name of Jesus Christ, I have prayed. Amen.
