Acts Of Humility Can Prompt God To Elevate You Higher Than Expected
Passage: Luke 19
Jesus, in all His magnificent power and glory, did not see any problem in comparing Himself to a Lamb. This shows the beauty of God’s humility. This is the same way Christians are expected to remain humble, as Jesus is our perfect example.
Zacchaeus, who was a rich man humbled himself to receive the salvation of Jesus Christ. He climbed a tree in desperation to see Jesus, and the Messiah recognized his magnificent effort and saved him.
The scripture reported,
“Now behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus who was a chief tax collector, and he was rich. And he sought to see who Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, for he was of short stature. So he ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him, for He was going to pass that way. And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him, and said to him, “Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house” (Luke 19:2-5).
Humility & Turning To Righteousness Works Hand In Hand
Jesus Christ will save a humble person, but he will not save an arrogant person. Humble people are willing to compromise their sinful acts and turn a new leaf, but arrogant individuals stubbornly hold on to their sins and they would not budge (even when Christ wants to save them.)
Meanwhile, Christ will leave the door of his salvation open for all sinners, until the appointed time that he would shut the door permanently!
Anyone who remains adamant in sin until the last minute will have himself or herself to be blamed. The individual will not have the opportunity to go to heaven but will go to hell fire.
Therefore, all people must repent from their sins before it is too late! Anyone who wants to prove that he or she is humble should pray the prayer of salvation.
Pray For Christ’s Salvation
Dear Jesus Christ, I confess that you are the living Son of God who has died for my sins. You died on the cross and resurrected from the grave to give me eternal life. I believe you, and I accept you as my personal Lord and Savior. As from today, I declare myself a “Born-Again Christian.” I will follow and serve you for the rest of my life. Amen.
