Christians Be Watchful Of Immoral Activities
Passage: Jude 1
The final days are here, and Christians are warned to beware of the surge of immoral activities that will perpetuate the earth. Bible warned that some insensitive believers would fall short of signs of the end time, thereby be deceived. Christians who are insensitive to the signs of end time will accommodate a sin rather than resisting it. The Bible declares,
“…These are grumblers, complainers, walking according to their own lusts; and they mouth great swelling words, flattering people to gain advantage. But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit” (Jude 1:16-19).
Despite the reign of promiscuity and other ungodly activities that will perpetuate the society during the crucial period of end time, the heavenly bound Christians will keep their body pure and maintain a godly status that will make them befit rapture – The second coming of Jesus Christ.
Christians Must Be Sensitive, Watchful, and Prayerful
The present-day believers must understand that Satan-the enemy of righteousness has crafted some new methods to influence people and prepare them for hellfire. Besides some major sins that people are familiar with, the enemy keeps introducing other subtle ones – Which are not easily detected. Believers who are not spiritually sensitive quickly fall into these sins without realizing them.
Christians must take a decisive step to stand by the principles of the Bible. They must not compromise their stand against sin. That is, a Christian must neither support nor practice any behavior that Bible rejects. For example, the society now promotes homosexuality as if it is not sinful. The view which does not go well with God. Therefore, Christians must not entertain it!
Christians must take precaution and learn from the Bible to understand the mind of God and comply with his standard. A Christian who studies his or her Bible is in the best position to be familiar with the laws of God. The person also exposes himself or herself to the Holy Spirit’s empowerment to receive God’s strength to obey his laws. Also, a believer who prays for God’s strength to keep himself or herself fit for heaven will receive God’s answer.
Pray For Grace To Keep Yourself Fit For God’s Kingdom
Dear God, I pray that you please give me the grace and ability to keep myself pure so that I can befit your kingdom. Help me to diligently study the Bible and follow its teaching so that I can prosper! Let the Holy Spirit inspire and empower me to understand your word. Please save me from the subtle sins that the enemy is using to deceive people and prepare them for eternal damnation of hellfire. Please count me worthy of your eternal kingdom O Lord! For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
