DIVINE FOCUS IS A STAPLE IN CHRISTIANITY – Daniel

focus

Christians Should Be Prepared To Act With Faith In All Circumstances

(Passage: Daniel 6)

Daniel chose to give his undivided attention to God, and this infuriated his enemies. This, also, led to them plotting to kill him. The scripture reported,

“So the governors and satraps sought to find some charge against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find no charge or fault, because he was faithful; nor was there any error or fault found in him. Then these men said, “We shall not find any charge against this Daniel unless we find it against him concerning the law of his God” (Daniel 6 4-5).

Daniel’s enemies were able to successfully cast him into the lion’s den, but God defended his servant. God shut the lions’ mouths, and they could not hurt him. Consequentially, Daniel’s opponents landed in the lions’ den, and the animals feasted on them. It is reported,

“(The king said) I make a decree that in every dominion of my kingdom men must tremble and fear before the God of Daniel. For He is the living God, and steadfast forever; His kingdom is the one which shall not be destroyed, and His dominion shall endure to the end. He delivers and rescues, And He works signs and wonders in heaven and on earth, who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions” (Daniel 6:26-27).

The Many Benefits Of Living Life In Faith

Christians must focus on effectively running their spiritual race and finish well

God will defend his people, and he will not allow the enemies to mock his name in their lives. When we (believers) act in faith, God is glorified! Therefore, we must continue in our confession of faith, and practice Christianity in a way that will glorify Christ. Once we make God happy by demonstrating unwavering faith, he will honor us in return. An inexorable fact about Christianity is that believers would face challenges.

Satan and his forces will use any means possible to stop a believer from trusting God. However, faithful sons and daughters of God must remain committed to Christ – the Savior. The mixture of good and evil that we face in this world are temporal. Believers in Jesus Christ must be courageous always since we know that our present afflictions are just for a short time. Also, our time of redemption is on the way, and Christ will move us from this evil world to a perfect one – where no form of evil will exist. Believers must expect the second coming of Jesus Christ, and be prepared always!

Pray For Strength To Always Stay Focus And Act In Faith

Dear God, please give me the strength to remain committed to my confession of faith in you. Help me to stand strong against any opposition that may challenge my belief. Let the Holy Spirit empower me to stand firm in faith, so the devil will be put to shame, and your name be glorified. Assist me to remain fit for your second coming so that I can be a partaker of your benefits in heaven. Please keep me fit now and always! For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make my request. Amen.

SELFLESS LOVE TO MANKIND – Ruth

love

Christians Should Imbibe Selflessness As Part Of Their Personalities

Passage: Ruth 1

Ruth decided to stay with Naomi (her mother in law) After the death of her husband, despite the fact that Naomi was old and she had nothing good left to offer. Ruth ignored Naomi’s persuasions, and she refused to turn back to her native land. She insisted and said,

“Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord deal with me, be it ever so severely, if even death separates you and me” (Ruth 1:16-17 NIV).

Selfless Service Should Be A Staple For Christians

Christians are required to demonstrate selfless love towards other people. We are not expected to seek selfish gains before we can offer assistance to people who are in need. God himself knows the best way to reward good services; he will reward his selfless children! Therefore, we must endeavor to open-heartedly serve other people, and do it diligently, so that God can bless us.

Pray For God To Fill Your Heart With Love That Extends To Others.

Dear God, please grant me enablement to demonstrate selfless love towards other people. Do not let me seek selfish gains, but help me to care with a liberal heart. I know that you will definitely bless me if I represent you well on earth, so help me please you. Let me be your true ambassador on earth, and let me qualify to receive your heavenly rewards. For in the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.

GOD DEFENDED ISRAELITES AGAINST MULTIPLE FOES – Joshua

trust

Faith Exercise Will Forever Benefit Christians

(Passage: Joshua 10)

God helped Israelites in their difficult situation. The people were few in numbers and had limited weapons to their defense; however, God did not allow their enemies to prevail over them. God came to their aid during the time of need and earned them victory. The Bible bears witness on how the Creator performed all kind of miracles to assist his children. In fact, the scripture reported that God had to rain an unusual weapon from heaven when they were desperately in need. It is written,

“And it happened, as they (the enemies) fled before Israel and were on the descent of Beth Horon, that the Lord cast down large hailstones from heaven on them as far as Azekah, and they died. There were more who died from the hailstones than the children of Israel killed with the sword” (Joshua 10:11).

Those Who Trust Can’t Be Defenseless

People who reserve their trust in God cannot be defenseless; God will defend them against their enemies. Jehovah will go an extra mile to protect us as we cast our complete trust in him.

Jehovah has the power to do anything at will. He can tweak any situation to benefit us (his children).

Since God remains a formidable helper in any situation for those who cast their complete trust, Christians must exercise our faith in him. We must make God proud to earn us an expected victory.

Pray To Exercise Your Faith

Dear God, I understand that you have the power to defend your children who trust you in any situation; therefore, I ask that you please give me the strength to trust you! As I exercise my faith, let miracles begin to happen so that I can testify to your goodness in the land of the living! For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.

HUMILITY IS AN IMPORTANT FACTOR FOR SERVING AS A CHRISTIAN – Job

humility

True Believers Of Christ Should Embody His Humble Trait

(Passage: Job 1)

Job, in the Bible, was a rich man who portrayed a godly example for all wealthy people to emulate. Job could be described as a billionaire of his time, yet he did not allow his wealth to distract him from being a righteous person. Job served God faithfully, as the Bible reported;

“There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God and shunned evil. And seven sons and three daughters were born to him. Also, his possessions were seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, five hundred female donkeys, and a very large household, so that this man was the greatest of all the people of the East. And his sons would go and feast in their houses, each on his appointed day, and would send and invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them. So it was, when the days of feasting had run their course, that Job would send and sanctify them, and he would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said, “It may be that my sons have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” Thus Job did regularly” (Job 1:1-5).

the word

Humility Is Deeply Connected To Receive God’s Blessings

God does not hate the rich people; he loves both poor and rich people alike. Anyone (irrespective of his or her status), who faithfully serves the Lord will receive his favor. Rich people ought to learn how to be godly from Job in the Bible (Job 1:1-5). The man was humble, and he complied with the laws of God throughout his life. Job also taught his children how to fear and faithfully serve God. Job prayed for his children and ask for their forgiveness.

Meanwhile, besides the fact that Job was godly and raised in a righteous family, he also humbly related to both his neighbors and his servants. There was no record that Job mistreated anyone around him. In fact, Job’s lifestyle was so pure to the extent that it caught the attention of God in heaven!

Christians must understand that it is not sinful to desire riches, but it is sinful to desire riches with a wrongful mindset. Christians who desire to be successful on earth must assess his or her motivation, whether it is godly or not. The question we should ask ourselves is; is the motivation for riches based on an attempt to gratify worldly desires, or it is based on an attempt to glorify God?

Christians’ pursuit of success must be solely based on positive perception. It must be based on the goal to satisfy God and benefit the lives of others! A Christian whose heart is pure will receive God’s blessings beyond his or her wildest dream!

Humility – The real virtue for the Christians!

ISRAELITES REBELLED AND GOD SOLD THEM OUT – Jeremiah

God's grace

Christians Must Not Take God’s Grace For Granted

(Jeremiah 25)

God’s grace has a limit! God declared his judgments on the people of Judah and Israel for abusing the privilege he earned them. The people of Judah and Israel took God for granted and persisted in their sins despite his warnings. God reminded the rebels of their failures and pronounced his punishment on them. God said,

“‘Repent now everyone of his evil way and his evil doings, and dwell in the land that the Lord has given to you and your fathers forever and ever. Do not go after other gods to serve them and worship them, and do not provoke me to anger with the works of your hands; and I will not harm you.’ Yet you have not listened to me,” says the Lord, “that you might provoke me to anger with the works of your hands to your own hurt. “Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Because you have not heard My words, behold, I will send and take all the families of the north,’ says the Lord, ‘and Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, against its inhabitants, and against these nations all around, and will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, a hissing, and perpetual desolations” (Jeremiah 25:5-9).

grace lesson

God’s Grace Has A Limit

God is merciful, but his mercy has a limit. Anyone who aims at taking God for granted may be playing a risky game since God cannot be predicted. Jehovah can decide to take an action when a person has least expected; therefore, it is better to appropriately behave before him.

Everyone has the choice to establish a consistent relationship with God and enjoy his benefits.

A person who makes the choice to build a steady relationship with God won’t regret it. Such person will be automatically positioned to earn God’s unlimited benefits.

A person who thinks he can play a dirty trick on God by offering him a lip service and keep a secret sin will regret in the end. Sooner or later, God will catch up with the person and severe him with some punishments. Besides, God has designated a special day to judge all the hypocrites and haul them to hellfire. Anyone who dilly dally in faith should not hesitate to repent and repair his or her relationship with God.

CALEB TRUSTED GOD AND GOT HIS REWARD AS PROMISED – Joshua

faith

True Children Of God Must Trust His Process And Believe His Word

God fulfilled his promise made to Caleb in the wilderness; he granted him an opportunity to own a landed property in Canaan. Indeed, it was a pay-day for Caleb since only he and Joshua brought good reports to Moses in the wilderness. Others compared themselves as grasshoppers against the giants, but Caleb and Joshua confidently declared that God was able to help them possess the Promised Land. The bold declarations of Caleb (and Joshua) made God promise that he would grant them an opportunity to possess the Canaan land. (God disallowed the ten pessimist spies who brought bad reports to Moses and Israelites in the camp – Numbers 14:24).

Caleb, who demonstrated courage at the border of Canaan Land also showed courage, as he was about to witness the fulfillment of God’s promise. Caleb, at a very old age of 85 years, requested that Joshua granted him the portion of the promised land that was occupied by the giants. Caleb told Joshua;

“I was forty years old when Moses the servant of the Lord sent me from Kadesh-barnea to scout the land of Canaan, and I brought a report back to him as it was in my heart. My brothers (fellow spies) who went up with me made the heart of the people melt with fear; but I followed the Lord my God completely. So Moses swore an oath to me on that day, saying, ‘Be assured that the land on which your foot has walked will be an inheritance to you and to your children always, because you have followed the Lord my God completely.’ And now, look, the Lord has let me live, just as He said, these forty-five years since the Lord spoke this word to Moses, when Israel wandered in the wilderness; and now, look at me, I am eighty-five years old today. I am still as strong today as I was the day Moses sent me; as my strength was then, so is my strength now, for war and for going out and coming in. So now, give me this hill country about which the Lord spoke that day, for you heard on that day that the giant-like Anakim were there, with great fortified cities; perhaps the Lord will be with me, and I shall drive them out just as the Lord said.” So Joshua blessed him and gave Hebron to Caleb the son of Jephunneh as an inheritance. Therefore, Hebron became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite to this day, because he followed the Lord, the God of Israel, completely. The name of Hebron was formerly Kiriath-arba city of Arba; for Arba was the greatest man among the giant-like Anakim. Then the land had rest from war” (Joshua 14:7-15KJV).

trust

Trust And Faith Work Hand In Hand

Impossibilities will become possibilities for someone who has an absolute trust in God. The person may face some challenges, but the ever-strong God will come to his or her aid. Jehovah will not allow his children who cast their confidence in him be put to shame.

It is important that all children of God understand that they have an obligation to trust God in their situations. No restriction applies, Christians must not consider any situation as insignificant to be treated with faith.

Faith application can relate to our day-to-day activities. Also, faith application can be relative to situations such as bill payment, healing expectation, job provision, marriage resolution, and children’s growth. In other words, believers must trust God for all our businesses! As believers trust God for our situations, we will witness the signs and wonders of God. Faith declarations and expectations will make us have significant testimonies!

HOLINESS IS THE BASIC STANDARD OF GOD – Exodus

holiness

God Requires His Children To Comply With His Holiness Standard

God ordered Moses to specially decorate his priest in a fashion that glorified his name. Moses must ensure that the robes of the priests are legibly inscribed with “HOLINESS TO THE LORD”. The Bible stated,

“And they made coats of fine linen of woven work for Aaron, and for his sons, And a mitre of fine linen, and goodly bonnets of fine linen, and linen breeches of fine twined linen, And a girdle of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, of needlework; as the Lord commanded Moses. And they made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and wrote upon it a writing, like to the engravings of a signet, Holiness To The Lord. And they tied unto it a lace of blue, to fasten it on high upon the mitre; as the Lord commanded Moses.” (Exodus 39:27-31 KJV).

Holiness Means Everything To God

God who is holy also expects his children to be holy. Christians’ services must be holy so that they can be acceptable to God.

God-The Creator will not accept anything short of purity from anyone! Everyone, including those who are commissioned with some special assignments, must satisfy the holiness standard of God.

Any service that a person renders to God out of an impure heart will not be acceptable in his presence. For a service to be acceptable to God, it must come from a pure heart. Meanwhile, not only will God reject an impure service, he will also reject an impure person.

Any service that a person renders to God out of an impure heart will not be acceptable in his presence.

Whoever does not meet the holiness standard of God will not be accepted to his kingdom on the last day.

The Bible emphasized, “Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord” (Hebrews 12:14 NIV).

Pray For Strength To Meet God’s Holiness Standard

Dear God, please help me to live a pure life before you so that both my work and I can be acceptable in your presence. Do not let me contaminate myself with an impure practice; let the Holy Spirit empower me to serve you in holiness so that I can befit your kingdom and forever rejoice in your presence in heaven. GOD’S WRATH SHALL COME UPON SINNERS DESERVING – Ezekiel

sin

True Christians need to deviate from sin to bask in God’s Glory

(PASSAGE: Ezekiel 20)

For the longest time, the Israelites continued to live in sin despite God’s punishments inflicted on them in the foreign lands. They provoked God by partaking in idol worships, disobedience, and several other vices. God was not too pleased and promised to adequately compensate his disobedient children. According to the bible;

‘‘As I live’’ says the Lord God, “surely with a mighty hand, with an outstretched arm, and with fury poured out, I will rule over you. I will bring you out from the peoples and gather you out of the countries where you are scattered, with a mighty hand, with an outstretched arm, and with fury poured out. And I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and there I will plead my case with you face to face. Just as I pleaded my case with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so I will plead my case with you,”. He goes on to say, “I will make you pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant; I will purge the rebels from among you, and those who transgress against Me; I will bring them out of the country where they dwell, but they shall not enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Lord” (Ezekiel 20:33-38).

repent

God Is Omnipresent And Omnipotent

God is smarter than all human beings, and we cannot manipulate him to achieve our goals. Also, there are no alternatives to holiness; we cannot stand on the fence to please God. If anyone claims to love God, he or she must abandon sinful practices, and faithfully serve God. As humans, we must not forget that acts of manipulations may work with men, but they cannot work with God. Therefore, we must all be honest with God in all interactions with him.

No substitute for sin.

Pray To God For The Grace To Worship Wholeheartedly

Dear God, please help me not to play dirty tricks with you. Help me to be factual in my interactions with you. Give me the grace to humble myself and apologize for my sins. QUEEN VASHTI LOST HER POSITION BECAUSE OF PRIDE – Esther

pride

Christians Must Be Humble and Let God Take The Glory

(Passage: Esther 1)

Queen Vashti dishonored King Ahasuerus (her husband) in the presence of the dignitaries of her countries and she ran into trouble. The queen publicly turned down her husband’s request when asked to showcase her beauty. Vashti responded by asking King Ahasuerus to mind his business while she minds hers. The insult did not go well with the king and his dignitaries, therefore they ruled that Vashti be removed from her position and be replaced with someone who has better characteristics. The Bible reported,

“On the seventh day, when the heart of the king was merry with wine, he commanded Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, Abagtha, Zethar, and Carcas, seven eunuchs who served in the presence of King Ahasuerus, to bring Queen Vashti before the king, wearing her royal crown, in order to show her beauty to the people and the officials, for she was beautiful to behold. But Queen Vashti refused to come at the king’s command brought by his eunuchs; therefore the king was furious, and his anger burned within him” (Esther 1:10-12).

humility

Humility Is Far Better Than Pride

Pride leads to a downfall!

Children of God must be people of good characters. Among other characteristics, we must have the humility to reflect the beauty of Jesus Christ our Lord.

A Christian should not be obsessed with a position and/or power. We must understand that we are replaceable in any position that we occupy.

God has plenty of people that he can use for our assignments; therefore, whoever has the privilege to operate in any certain position should not get carried away. Such person should tremble before God and allow him to take due glory.

Pray for Grace to Be Humble

Dear God, please make me someone who is humble before you. Make me someone that is not obsessed with a position or power. Keep me humble, irrespective of my position, so that due glorify can be given to your name. For in the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen. => You may subscribe here

THE CHRONICLES OF THE PLANET EARTH – Ecclesiastes

heaven

Heaven and Hell Remain the Verdict

(Passage: Ecclesiastes 1)

This present earth planet is temporal. Everything contained in it will not last forever, it will perish someday! One wise preacher in the bible stated,

“I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and indeed, all is vanity and grasping for the wind” (Ecclesiastes 1:14).

Vanity Upon Vanity; Earth Is Vanity!

Anyone whose primary hope is to acquire the earthly riches will someday realize that he (or she) has chased the wind and is worthy to be rewarded with emptiness. The pursuits of success without the consciousness of things of God will make a person miserable and be eternally doomed in hell!

Indeed, earthly materials are temporal and they will all vanish someday. Meanwhile, anyone who desires to inherit the kingdom of God is striving to receive an incorruptible gift of God during a life after death – In Heaven. God’s sons and daughters will forever enjoy his benefits in his kingdom (Revelation 21:1-4).

People who mainly pursue the things of this world without the consciousness of things of God will have themselves to blame on the last day. According to Matthew 25:41, God will pronounce an irreversible judgment on them and cast them to the bottomless pit that is filled with a mixture of fire and sulfur – The hellfire!

Heaven Will Benefit God’s People

Heaven is reserved for people who have the consciousness of God and faithfully serve him. God will reward his worshipers with numerous imperishable benefits in heaven.

To qualify for heaven and enjoy its due benefits, a person must confess Jesus Christ as the Son of God and accept him as his (or her) personal Lord and Savior. The person must also repent of his sins and determine to faithfully serve God for the rest of his life on earth.

Prayer For Your Salvation

Dear God, please count me worthy to inherit your kingdom. Count me among the people that will permanently live in heaven to enjoy your everlasting benefits. I confess my sins and repent from them. I confess Jesus Christ as the Son of God and I accept him as my personal Lord and Savior. From now on, I promise to faithfully serve Jesus Christ. (I believe that I am now a saved, and I’m qualified for heaven!) Thank you God for the saving grace obtained through your Son Jesus Christ my Lord! Amen. => Subscribe here
