Offer Sacrifices To God Occasionally To Show Special Appreciation

Jehovah gave explicit instructions on He wants believers to worship Him, and this includes offerings and sacrifices. Some of these offerings include fruits of the earth He created; others include sacrificing animals.

King Solomon overwhelmingly offered expensive sacrifices to God in one instance, and the efforts prompted God to pay him special attention. Jehovah tremendously blessed him beyond expectations.

The scriptures reported,

“…And Solomon went up there to the bronze altar before the Lord, which was at the tabernacle of meeting, and offered a thousand burnt offerings on it. On that night God appeared to Solomon, and said to him, “Ask! What shall I give you?” (2 Chronicles 1:6-7).

God Blesses His Children Who Offer Benign Sacrifices

Sacrifices of thanksgiving are what God demands of his children; the Creator pays special attention to anyone who goes beyond the normal routine to honor him with honest and plentiful sacrifices.

A person who goes the extra mile to honor God will receive extra blessings for his efforts. Thanksgiving offerings bring sweet aroma to God; he loves to receive such at all times.

Therefore, children of God should do their best to satisfy God with quality and acceptable sacrifice, so that he can bless them beyond measure!

Pray For Help

Dear God, please teach me how to offer my best sacrifices to you at all time. Let my offerings be pure, and let them be acceptable in your presence. Please let my efforts incur your blessings, and let me receive your riches and honor that follow acts of obedience. For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.

God Is Worthy Of Our Praises; Say Thanks To Him!

Passage: 1 Chronicles 17

Every wise father wants his children to learn how to be thankful for all the gifts he has given them. This is the same as our God. As followers of Christ, we are not just called to be thankful for the good things God has sent our way, but also for what He’s going to do and for who He is. King David recognized this in his life and became thankful. The scriptures reported,

“Then King David went in and sat before the Lord, and he said: “Who am I, Lord God, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far? And as if this were not enough in your sight, my God, you have spoken about the future of the house of your servant. You, Lord God, have looked at me as though I were the most exalted of men” (1 Chronicles 17:16-17).

God Blesses His Children Who Thank Him

As Christians, we ought to thank God for His benefits in our lives. We should consider God’s blessings as a privilege, and not as our right. On many occasions, our imperfections disqualify us from receiving blessings, but God still keeps to his word and blesses us anyway! Therefore, we ought to be thankful for every bit of blessing that we receive, irrespective of its magnitude. We must remain thankful to God who has blessed us liberally without any reservation. No doubt, Jehovah will definitely bless grateful and humble people. He will bless those who are truly grateful for his benefits in their lives.

thank God

Proclaim your Thanks To God

Dear God, how wonderful of a Father you are! You love me deeply, and you have shown me your loving-kindness. The list of your goodness in my life is endless! You forgave my sins and made me your son/daughter. You feed me when I was hungry; you healed me when I was sick, and you lifted me up when I was down! How can I forget your goodness in my life? I will never forget, but I will be grateful always! Please let your songs of praises ever be in my mouth. For in the name of your only Son Jesus Christ, I’ve brought you my thanksgiving offering. Amen.

Remember to offer thanks to God always!

God Always Caters For His Children Regardless Of Their Struggles

Passage: Ezekiel 47

God will heal, reward, and restore his saints in heaven. They will live beyond any painful experience they might have survived on earth as the scripture explained. It is proclaimed that an important river of God will flow to all regions of God’s kingdom to heal and restore saints from their past traumatic experiences.

Ezekiel had an encounter with God and he shared his experience,

Then he said to me: “This water flows toward the eastern region, goes down into the valley, and enters the sea. When it reaches the sea, its waters are healed. And it shall be that every living thing that moves, wherever the rivers go, will live. There will be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters go there; for they will be healed, and everything will live wherever the river goes. It shall be that fishermen will stand by it from En Geri to En Eglaim; they will be places for spreading their nets. Their fish will be of the same kinds, as the fish of the Great Sea, exceedingly many.

But its swamps and marshes will not be healed; they will be given over to salt. Along the bank of the river, on this side and that, will grow all kinds of trees used for food; their leaves will not wither, and their fruit will not fail. They will bear fruit every month, because their water flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for medicine” (Ezekiel 47:8-12).

Fountain of life

Only True Christians Will Enjoy The River Of God

The river of God gives life. It heals all bruises, and it grants his children perfect peace. God’s river of life has its source from the heart of Jesus Christ.

Anyone who drinks from the river will not be thirsty again; the fortunate fellow will have the divine assurance of going to heaven. God’s river of life is automatically apportioned to anyone who gives his or her life to Jesus Christ.

A person who confesses Jesus Christ as his or her personal Lord and Savior will have peace on earth and in heaven also.

Pray For The Grace To Experience God’s River Of Life

Dear God, please let your river of life flow into my heart. I open the door of my heart and I am ready for you today! Obedience To God’s Instructions Are For Our Good

Passage: 1 Samuel 15

The bible states clearly over and over again that God blesses and rewards obedience. Obedience to God also demonstrates our love for God. King Saul abused his relationship with God, and he made repeated mistakes. While he ought to follow God’s instruction and be blessed, Saul chose to please himself and disobey God. An instance of Saul’s failure became evident when he refused to destroy God’s enemies as commanded. The instruction is stated,

“Samuel also said to Saul, “The Lord sent me to anoint you king over His people, over Israel. Now therefore, heed the voice of the words of the Lord. Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘I will punish Amalek for what he did to Israel, how he ambushed him on the way when he came up from Egypt. Now go and attack Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and do not spare them…” (1 Samuel 15:1-3). Meanwhile, Saul acted contrarily to God’s instructions. He killed some God’s enemies, but spared some treasured assets of the land for his private riches. He also rationalized that he intended to sacrifice the forbidden assets to God. However, the Prophet Samuel chastised King Saul and said, “Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams” (1 Samuel 15:22). Since Saul failed to follow God’s instructions, he was displaced as an Israelite king, and David was ordained to take over his position.

God Blesses All Who Obey Him

“To obey God is better than sacrifice, and to heed than the fat of rams” (1 Samuel 15:22).

Obedience has no substitute, and God requires that we must obey him at all costs. We cannot rationalize a decision or an action and expect God to agree with us; we must do whatever he asks us to do – and we must do it very well. As far as God is concerned, “We must obey before complaints.” Meanwhile, God will surely bless his obedient children. He will honor anyone who obeys him!

God can suspend any law for the purpose of blessing and honoring anyone who chooses to fear and obey him. Therefore, all people are encouraged to duly obey God’s instructions, since they will never regret

Pray For Grace To Be Obedient

Dear God, I understand that you require that all people must faithfully obey you and follow your instructions. Therefore, I am ready to yield my life and obey you to the fullest. I will serve and honor you as long as I live. I am utilizing this opportunity to ask for your extra grace that will enable me to satisfy you at all times. Please give me your grace so that I can prosper on earth and in heaven. For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.

All Believer Should Aspire To Make Heaven

Passage: Ezekiel 40

Whatever you do, don’t miss heaven. You shouldn’t be so close to God’s kingdom only to hear the Lord say, “I never knew you: depart from me”. The heaven is too beautiful a place to miss. The prophet Ezekiel was privileged to receive the revelation of heaven, and he described his experience thus:

“Then he (God’s angel) went to the gateway which faced east; and he went up its stairs and measured the threshold of the gateway, which was one rod wide, and the other threshold was one rod wide. Each gate chamber was one rod long and one rod wide; between the gate chambers was a space of five cubits; and the threshold of the gateway by the vestibule of the inside gate was one rod. He also measured the vestibule of the inside gate, one rod. Then he measured the vestibule of the gateway, eight cubits; and the gateposts, two cubits. The vestibule of the gate was on the inside” (Ezekiel 40:6-9) … “He measured the width of the entrance to the gateway, ten cubits; and the length of the gate, thirteen cubits. There was a space in front of the gate chambers, one cubit on this side and one cubit on that side; the gate chambers were six cubits on this side and six cubits on that side. Then he measured the gateway from the roof of one gate chamber to the roof of the other; the width was twenty-five cubits, as door faces door” (Ezekiel:11-13) …“After that he brought me toward the south, and there a gateway was facing south; and he measured its gateposts and archways according to these same measurements. There were windows in it and in its archways all around like those windows; its length was fifty cubits and its width twenty-five cubits. Seven steps led up to it, and its archway was in front of them; and it had palm trees on its gateposts, one on this side and one on that side” (Ezekiel:24-26).

God Created Heaven Perfectly

Heaven is an indescribable place of glory that God has prepared for his saints. Heaven – a place not designed by any human, but by God himself, consists of every bit of perfection. He planned it, designed it, and constructed it! God crafted both the interior and exterior parts of heaven by himself. He also, crafted the landscapes and ensured they have his best creativity.

No human word is suitable enough to describe the beauty of heaven. Jehovah created it to showcase his glory and also, to lavish it on his saints. Earthly people who have confessed Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will qualify for heaven. They are regarded as God’s saints, and they will inherit heaven – Which houses God’s throne.

However, those who have failed to confess Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal Savior are unqualified for heaven. They will be disallowed to enter heaven. They are regarded as unbelievers, and they will have their part in the lake of fire called Hell Fire.

It is important that we all confess Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior to qualify for heaven. Whoever makes this important decision will have his/her name written in the Book of Life. God will welcome the person to heaven on the last day to enjoy his eternal benefits.

Sing with me:

“Jerusalem on high; my song and city is, my home whene’er I die, the center of my bliss. O happy place! When shall I be, my God, with thee, to see thy face?”

Pray for Personal Declaration of Faith

Dear Heavenly Father, I believe that Jesus Christ is your only Son sent to save the world. I confess him as my personal Lord and Savior. I declare that I repent from my sins and I promise to faithfully serve you everyday of my life. Please write my name in your Book of Life, and ever keep me worthy of your eternal kingdom. For I have prayed and confessed in the name of my Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!

True Christianity Entails Faithful Focus On God’s Word

Passage: 2 Chronicles

You must be willing and obey if you are to eat the good of the land. Sometimes when God puts forth a promise, it comes with a condition. It comes with you doing your part so that He can do His part. God blessed King Asa conditionally, in a bid to motivate him into good behavior. King Asa would receive God’s protection, only if found faithful. This meant he would suffer punishment if found unfaithful to God. The scriptures reported,

“Now the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded. And he went out to meet Asa, and said to him: “Hear me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin. The Lord is with you while you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you” (2 Chronicles 15:1-2).

God Rewards Only Those Who Faithfully Worship Him

God cares; He is loving and will bless only those who faithfully serve him. However, since the Creator cannot revoke his righteous standard, he would be unable to bless those that are inconsistent in their relationship with him. Jehovah refuses to bless people who live in sin.

Unrepentant sinners may be at an arm’s length with God unless repented. They would also miss God’s blessings. Meanwhile, people who love God and faithfully serve him will be blessed with riches and honor. Men and women who faithfully serve God will prosper in all their ways. Their blessings will glorify God and motivate others into serving him.

Pray For Grace To Give God Your Undivided Attention

Dear God, I realize you love people who give you undivided attention. I am willing to give you my full devotion from today! I want to maintain a consistent relationship with you so that I can prosper, and so that you can be glorified. Therefore, I ask for your grace to live a holy life. Help me to meet your standard of righteousness. Please empower me through your Holy Spirit to walk in your ways so that I can prosper throughout the days of my life. For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.

True Believers Praise God Unconditionally

Passage: 1 Chronicles 23

King David was known to be a good musician who composed songs and played musical instruments for the praises of God’s name. However, that was not all about David when it is related to music. He was also skilled in the supervision of manufacturing musical instruments. In fact, the king referenced his own artistic works and said;

“…Four thousand were gatekeepers, and four thousand praised the Lord with musical instruments, “which I made,” said David, “for giving praise.”” (1 Chronicles 23:5).

Creativity Helps God Accepts Our Praises

Our efforts to praise and worship the living God must not be limited! Our praise and worship activities must not have boundaries. Meanwhile, our efforts would be considered insufficient, until creativity is brought into it. We are to skillfully device different means and methods of praising God since the Creator deserves our best!

No rule is applied when it turns to praises; We can dance, jump, and shout. We can sit or prostrate during praises. In fact, the Creator is interested in artistic styles of worship. He considers dances and performances pleasant.

Hence, We children of God should come out of our shells and offer quality appreciation to God. Jehovah must be praised for He is the King of kings and Lord of lords! All creations must bow before the Lord of the universe and honor his holy name forever!

Praise and worship

Pray For Grace To Always Offer God Praises

I appreciate you God for you are the Lord of lords and God of gods! I praise you with every breath that I take. Everything within me says “Thank you!” My praises shall ever come to you. I will praise you in the morning, afternoon, and evening. I will shout the praises of your name throughout the earth. All that I ask from you is grace and strength to continue praising your holy name throughout the days of my life. For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make this special request. Amen.

Christians should Come to Unity to Carry Out God’s Prophesies

Passage: Ezra 3

The exiled Jews were authorized to return home and rebuild their precious city, Jerusalem. All the released captives were excited to see their dreams come true, and they all agreed to start a project that would revamp God’s temple that the Babylonians have destroyed.

The returned Jews were very excited about their miraculous breakthrough; they repaired the Lord’s temple and praised God in one accord – to the extent that their enemies heard their testimony songs from a far distance.

The scripture reported;

“Then Jeshua with his sons and brothers, Kadmiel, with his sons, and the sons of Judah, rose as one to oversee those working on the house of God: the sons of Henadad with their sons and their brethren the Levites. When the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the Lord, the priests stood in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites, the sons of Asaph, with cymbals, to praise the Lord, according to the ordinance of David king of Israel. And they sang responsively, praising and giving thanks to the Lord: “For He is good, For His mercy endures forever toward Israel. Then all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the Lord, because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid” (Ezra 3:9-11).

Christian community

The Devil Is No Match For United Christians

Great things are done for God when Believers are united. The devil cannot withstand a group of Christians that operate in unison. However, it is unfortunate that Christians sometimes, allow Satan to manipulate them into engaging in unhealthy rivalry and division.

Different Christian sects struggle against each other and fight for superiority. However, while believers are busy engaging in ungodly rivalry, Satan continues to gain ground. The enemy is making use of the opportunity to attack the Christian community!

Christian churches must endeavor to lay aside all differences and serve God in the beauty of holiness. Believers must unite and serve God together.

There’s no doubt that miracles will happen in the Christian community when we practice love and celebrate unity. The unity of brethren will honor God, and it will also put the devil to shame. Our unity as believers will also transform to our blessings as God’s children.

Pray For The Christians To Be United

Dear God, please let your sincere love reign amongst Christians. Help us, the brethren, to allow your Holy Spirit to operate in our midst. Please help us to lay our differences aside and serve you in one accord. Please let all churches submit to Jesus’ feet and honor you in our compromised society. Empower each believer to be sensitive to Satan’s scheme and not give in to his devices. Please help us (Christians) to be your true ambassadors on earth so that we can receive your warm welcome in heaven. For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.

God Uses Any Vessel To Make His Cause Come To Pass

Passage: Ezra 1

God inspired a gentile king to sponsor the reconstruction of his holy temple. Despite an idolatry background that King Cyrus of Persia had, he became a vessel that God used for His own purpose.

Touched by God, King Cyrus encouraged captive Jews in his empire to return to their homeland and repair God’s temple at Jerusalem. King Cyrus also, mandated his citizens to provide material and financial support for the Jews.

The scripture reported,

“Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and also put it in writing, saying, Thus says Cyrus king of Persia: All the kingdoms of the earth the Lord God of heaven has given me. And He has commanded me to build Him a house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Who is among you of all His people? May his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of the Lord God of Israel (He is God), which is in Jerusalem. And whoever is left in any place where he dwells, let the men of his place help him with silver and gold, with goods and livestock, besides the freewill offerings for the house of God which is in Jerusalem” (Ezra 1:1-4).

No One Is Too Big For God To Use

God has the divine ability to use anyone for the purpose of glorifying himself. (A person that God uses is known as God’s vessel.) Jehovah can use anyone to bless his children. The Creator can use both kings and servants alike to meet his agenda.

Jehovah has no restrictions; he will use any available vessel for his own purpose. Therefore, children of God should be assured in him.

Believers must be confident that God is able to fulfill all his plans for our lives. As humans, we may have some limitations but, we must always be mindful of the fact that God has no limitation. He will do whatever is necessary to meet his mandates in our lives.

Christians must be confident in God always. He is Jehovah, he will glorify himself in our lives under whatever circumstance, and he can use any vessel for the purpose.

All factors of life will cooperate with God until his plans are fully manifested in our lives.

Do you trust God? Do you believe he can do all things? Do you also believe that God can make and/or destroy anything for the purpose of glorifying himself in your life? Start to trust God today!

Ask God To Make You His Active Vessel

Dear God, I strongly believe that you have the power to do all things. There are no limitations to your power! Therefore, I ask that you give me a heart that trust you at all times. Please give me the strength to cast my complete trust in you. Let my faith bear fruits so that I can prosper in every day of my life. For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make my request. Amen.

True Believers Ought To Be Cautious Of The Association They Keep

King Rehoboam had a good father, but he failed to follow his footsteps. Rehoboam, who succeeded his father King Solomon received and followed the wrong counsel of his peers. His foolishness caused him dearly. He lost credibility of his citizens and eventually lost a larger part of his kingdom to someone who had no royal blood. The scripture reported;

“…And Jeroboam and all Israel came and spoke to Rehoboam, saying, ‘Your father made our yoke heavy; now therefore, lighten the burdensome service of your father and his heavy yoke which he put on us, and we will serve you.’” (2 Chronicles 10:3-4). “So Jeroboam and all the people came to Rehoboam on the third day, as the king had directed, saying, ‘Come back to me the third day.’ Then the king answered them roughly. King Rehoboam rejected the advice of the elders, and he spoke to them according to the advice of the young men, saying, ‘My father made your yoke heavy, but I will add to it; my father chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scourges!’”(12-14). “Now when all Israel saw that the king did not listen to them, the people answered the king, saying: ‘What share have we in David? We have no inheritance in the son of Jesse. Every man to your tents, O Israel! Now see to your own house, O David!’ So all Israel departed to their tents” (2 Chronicles 10:16).

Avoid Bad Association Like A Plague

Wrong association corrupts good people; the children of God must avoid any relationship that can affect their standing with God. Ungodly people may care less about meeting God’s expectations, therefore we must not follow their footsteps. There are consequences for sinful actions, and we must ensure to not associate with those who practice evil. It is dangerous to follow bad counsels, which are mostly offered by people who have no desire for God – the ungodly people. Their counsels are likely to centralize on satisfying the desires of the flesh, which are sinful in the sight of the Lord.

God’s children are obligated to put God first in whatever they do! We are trained to prioritize obedience above our human desires! Believers must be careful to not share common practices of evil people. We must steer clear of every association that leads us away from Christ. We must follow the footsteps of Jesus Christ and ensure to uphold His principles. The Spirit of God that dwells in us will enable us to make the right decisions. Also, we can obtain godly guidance from fellow Christians – as we prayerfully consider them.

Pray To Prioritize Association Appropriately

Dear God, please give me the grace not to follow the multitude in their evil practices. Do not let me follow the wrong counsel! Please empower me through your Holy Spirit to make decisions that will benefit me and your kingdom. Let my thought and actions glorify your Holy name at all times. For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.
