HUMANS ARE TO OBEY GOD’S LAWS – 2 Kings

god's laws

Everyone Is Required To Be In Compliance With God’s Laws

(Passage: 2 Kings 23)

God promised to send the seasonal rain to his children to grow their crops if they choose to obey his laws. According to the scriptures, it is not a difficult matter to obey God’s law.

Anyone can learn the principle of obedience from a young man named Josiah in the Bible; he was just an eight-year-old boy when he became the king of Judah.

The Bible reported that Josiah outperformed his predecessors who were much older and had more life experience.

King Josiah ordered the priests of God to educate people on how to faithfully serve God. He made serving God a national priority, and therefore, was able to draw everyone’s heart towards God.

The Bible reported;

“The king sent them to gather all the elders of Judah and Jerusalem to him. The king went up to the house of the Lord with all the men of Judah, and with him all the inhabitants of Jerusalem—the priests and the prophets and all the people, both small and great. And he read in their hearing all the words of the Book of the Covenant, which had been found in the house of the Lord.

…The king stood by a pillar and made a covenant before the Lord, to follow the Lord and to keep His commandments and His testimonies and His statutes, with all his heart and all his soul, to perform the words of this covenant that were written in this book. And all the people took a stand for the covenant” (2 Kings 23:1-3).

God Rewards All Who Obey Him

Humans are meant to comply with God’s laws, and all people are required to study the scriptures to understand God’s mandates.

The Bible, which is the word of God is affordable and can be possessed by everyone. God has, also, given each believer the ability to tap into the resource empowerment of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit empowers every individual with the knowledge and ability to obey God’s laws. No more excuses! It is, important that everyone serves God with a sincere heart.

God, who knows all things, will evaluate our activities and adequately reward everyone based on their services. People who indulge in sin will not be positively rewarded. Those who refused to change won’t make heaven, their place will be in hell fire.

However, those who faithfully serve God will have their portion with God in heaven, where they will enjoy the everlasting blessing of God.
