Live Your Life With A Purpose!
(Passage: Matthew 1)
We are here on earth for a specific purpose to achieve. We don’t have the same purpose since God created everyone distinctly special. Therefore our grace and talents are different. However, no matter what our individual purposes maybe, we still share three common ones, which are to love God, serve God, and love other people.
You are born with a purpose, live up to it!
While we can explain our purposes differently, our common and major purpose remains to serve God with all our hearts!
How well are you fulfilling your purpose?
Let’s learn from Jesus how he fulfilled his purpose on earth. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was not just another child born by two parents. He was born of God! God commissioned him from heaven to proclaim his kingdom and save humanity.
Jesus’s life from birth was all about his purpose!
The birth story of Jesus Christ was completely different from any other human being. Mary, his mother did not conceive him out of a relationship with any man. She was conceived by the Holy Spirit. That is, the presence of God descended on Mary and he was found pregnant with a child to be born as Jesus Christ.
The remembrance of Jesus birth
A virgin gave birth to a miracle child and was called Jesus. This is the Bible’s account of the event.
“Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother, Mary, was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly. But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins” (Matthew 1:18-21).
A miracle child lived up to his purpose.
Jesus, the miracle child grew in grace, strength, and power to fulfill his purpose. The scriptures stated,
“And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man” (Luke 2:52 NIV).
The primary mission of Jesus was to save the world. He grew in stature and advanced in age with that purpose in mind.
Jesus had his mission in mind – He must save humanity
Jesus lived a simple life. He came close to common people and preached the kingdom of God to them.
A purposeful Jesus did not only preach, but he showed love. He fed the poor and performed signs and wonders to solve people’s problems.
With the primary goal of his mission in mind, Jesus cast out evil spirits, cleaned up the temple, and spoke God’s word to his reluctant audience.
The fate of his life materialized as the enemies lied and accused Jesus of wrongdoing. They abused and killed him. But all for the benefit of accomplishing the goal of saving humanity.
Since Jesus died and resurrected for our sake, whosoever confesses him as his or her personal Lord and Savior will be saved.
Here comes the authority of Jesus’s life purpose:
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16 ESV).
The salvation of Jesus Christ applies to everyone who will confess him as his or her personal Lord and Savior.
Whether you are a Christian or not, you must confess Jesus as Lord to be saved.
God has created us differently with a different purpose, but one purpose that is common to all is that we must love God and serve him from the bottom of our hearts. #purpose #hearts #createdClick to tweet
Dear Jesus Christ, I understand that the main purpose of my existence is to love and serve you! I must confess my faith in your Son Jesus Christ to be saved; therefore, I declare today that I accept your Son Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior.
From now on, my complete life shall be dedicated to loving Jesus and serving you from the bottom of my heart. So help me God! Please count me worthy to be raptured on the last day. For I have prayed in your Son’s name Jesus Christ, Amen!
