Be Faithful & Steadfast In Spreading The Gospel Regardless Of Persecution
(Passage: Acts 16)
The people of Philippi mercilessly beat Paul and Silas and jailed them for preaching the gospel. But the incidents did not stop the duo from preaching the gospel!
Paul and Silas remained steadfast in the faith. They chose to praise God rather than complaining or getting discouraged.
God recognized the courage that Paul and Silas demonstrated, and therefore, remarkably delivered them, and also saved the chief prison guard.
The scripture reported,
“But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed” (Acts 16:25-26).
Gospel Evangelization Can’t Be Stopped By The Evil-Doers
Gospel evangelization is fueled by the Holy Spirit; no persecution can quench its fire. Evil people may persecute Christians for the sake of their belief, but they can’t succeed in silencing them.
No mortal man or woman can stop the gospel from spreading since it is the movement of God designed to save people from the last destruction!
Indeed, Christians are not ordinary people. We are empowered by God! We are endued with God’s grace and power to go extra miles for the kingdom of God.
The Holy Spirit that dwells in us will help us to triumph over any crisis that may come our way.
Having the clear understand that Christians are not ordinary people and cannot be stopped by any earthly force, we must be resolute in our confession of faith reserved in Jesus Christ.
God will back our ministries with signs and wonders to glorify his Holy Name.
Jesus Christ said,
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).
Pray For The Grace To Spread The Gospel Effectively
Dear God, please give me the grace to be steadfast in faith and effectively proclaim your gospel. Empower me through your Holy Spirit to preach the good news irresistibly! Let me remain steadfast in faith despite any challenge that may come my way.
…Give me the ability to preach your gospel in the morning, afternoon, and evening. Let me effectively preach your gospel so that people can know you and be saved. When my earthly race is finished, let me appear in your presence in heaven to hear your voice “Well-done and welcome my good servant!” For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.
Remember: No Matter The Challenge, Spread The Gospel
