God Sacrificed His Son For Our Freedom In All Aspects Of Life
Passage: Romans 8
No Christian is expected to live in condemnation after Jesus Christ has set him or her free.
He came to free us from sin through His atoning sacrifice. He paid the death penalty for us, freeing us from death row through His Sacrifice.
Anyone in Christ is no more under the bondage of sin; for who the Son has set free is free indeed. The scripture stated,
“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
…For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit” (Romans 8:1-4).
All Christians Are Free Of Sin Once They Accept Christ
Believers in Jesus Christ are not under the bondage of sin and condemnation, but we have been freed to enjoy the salvation of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We are no more expected to live in condemnation after we have been saved and received forgiveness of sin.
We are now bonafide Christians qualified to receive God’s benefits through Jesus Christ!
However, Satan the enemy of righteousness has a custom of tempting God’s children into unjust condemnation. He may remind a Christian of his/her past sins after forgiveness.
Meanwhile, if Christ has set us free, we are free indeed! Since we have been born-again in Jesus, we must claim his justification.
Having said all, any Christian who is tempted to remain sad in a forgiven sin must resist the enemy outrightly.
He (or she) must affirm his stands in God by saying,
“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death…” (Romans 8:1-4).
In the name of Jesus Christ, I am free of condemnation of sin. Jesus Christ has paid the penalty of my sins on the cross. He has washed me clean and made me fit for his kingdom.
…Since I have confessed and repented of my sins, I am no more under the bondage of sin, and neither does the condemnation of sin have power over me anymore.
…Jesus Christ has made me free today, tomorrow, and forever! Hallelujah, I am heaven-bound, and Christ will be my king forever. Amen!
