True Christians Must Be Steadfast In Christ At All Times
The apostle John commended and prayed for Gaius having heard the news of his steadfast faith and services to the Lord Jesus Christ. John said,
“The Elder, to the beloved Gaius, whom I love in truth: Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth” (3 John 1-4).
God Rewards Our Faithful Services To Him
Righteous services and godly living are God’s measuring standard of steadfastness; any Christian who is loyal to God and faithful to him will be rewarded. It is virtually impossible for any Christian to be passive in his relationship with God and still be able to satisfy him. The Creator requires our full attention to receive his commendations. However, the roadmap to adequately satisfy God’s standard of righteousness is not too easy. It takes the assistance of the Holy Spirit for anyone to be able to adequately satisfy God. Therefore, believers must seek for the baptism of the Holy Spirit so that we can be empowered to do God’s will. Also, believers must be responsive to the guidance of the Holy Spirit in order to prosper.

Prayer For Grace To Continuously Trust In God
Dear God, please make me a serious Christian who is devoted to your services. Let me serve you in righteousness to be counted worthy of your commendation in heaven! Also, let my loyalty to you be rewarded with some earthly benefits so that unbelievers can be challenged to serve you as well. I surely know you will pay a special attention to those who faithfully serve you; therefore, please give me the strength to serve you with loyalty throughout the days of my life! For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.
