True Worshippers Of Christ Must Exhibit Faith In All Situations
Passage: Matthew 14
Christians must be strong in their faith and be courageous, knowing that God will always be with them. Peter walked on water with Jesus Christ when none of his team members could demonstrate such courage. He did not experience the supernatural power of God until he summoned his faith and showed it in his actions by walking on water. However, the same Peter began to drown in water as soon as his faith wavered. The scripture reported,
“And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus” (Matthew 14:28-29).
Peter was distracted as reported, “But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased” (Matthew 14:30-32).
Focus On Faith & Ignore The Distractions
As believers, we must always affix our minds on Jesus Christ to successfully live an overcomers’ life on earth! We must focus all our trust on the Savior to receive courage and maintain our stand as God requires.
Indeed, as humans, we have the tendency to be distracted by our surrounding factors, but we must be determined to focus more. We must maintain our grip of faith so that God can be glorified.
To demonstrate courage as required, Christians must consistently confess the word of God. We must do so even when our minds have refused to cooperate with our confession of faith.
As we continue to declare God’s promises slated in the Bible, God’s peace that surpasses human understanding will reign in our hearts. We will live above tough situations, and in the end, give testimonies that honor his name!
Prayer For God’s Empowerment To Exercise Faith
Dear God, please teach me how to trust you in all ramifications of life. Help me to have resolute faith that glorifies your name and let it become my blessing! Enable me with grace to keep confessing your words into my life until I have experienced my anticipated victory. Please empower me with your Holy Spirit to live victoriously every day of my life. For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.
Remember: Faith In God Is All We Need
