The Jews Who Accept and Confess Jesus Will Be Saved
Passage: Romans 11
Jews who have refused to confess Jesus Christ as their messiah will still do so someday. They will have salvation opportunity and be saved. (The Bible states that whosoever confesses Jesus Christ as Lord will be saved.)
The Jews’ initial rejection of Jesus Christ as the true messiah has given the salvation opportunity for the unbelievers. The Jews’ hostility has also contributed to the expansion of the gospel. They persecuted the early Christians and forced many of them to escape from Jerusalem and other cities.
Many of the persecuted Christians went far beyond their homeland to preach the gospel of Jesus to the gentiles.
The non-Jews have received the opportunity to hear the gospel and hear more about God. Indeed gospel evangelization to the unreached world has led to the salvation of many souls!
Meanwhile, the Jews who have warred against Christian faith will receive the opportunity of salvation. They will see the light of God; confess Jesus as Lord, and be saved.
Paul, a born-Jew converted to Christianity, stated,
“If by any means I may provoke to jealousy those who are my flesh and save some of them. For if their being cast away is the reconciling of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead? For if the first fruit is holy, the lump is also holy; and if the root is holy, so are the branches…
…And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree, do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the root supports you…
…You will say then, “Branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in.” Well said. Because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Do not be haughty, but fear. For if God did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either” (Romans 11: 14-21).
Acceptance Of Jesus Christ Is The Criteria To Make Heaven
God loves the Jews; he raised them from a few people and turned them into a great nation. However, the Jews are not only God’s children, but Christians are his children also.
Both the Jews and Christians are like branches of the same tree grafted to God. However, the Jews cannot survive in isolation, they need the salvation of Jesus Christ to properly offer acceptable service to God.
The scripture stated that God would not give up on Israel, but he would enlighten their mind to accept Jesus Christ as the true Messiah of God (Yeshua Ha-Mashiach).
With faith in Jesus Christ, both Jews and Christians will partake in the Lord’s Passover in heaven.
Hence, since Jesus Christ is so important to salvation, everyone, Jews and non-Jews should consider it necessary to believe in him.
Pray For The Non-Believers & the Jews
Dear God, I pray for Jews and all people who have not believed Jesus Christ as the true Messiah to do so. Please enlighten their minds to understand the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made on their behalf. Let them understand that Jesus Christ died and resurrected to give them eternal life so that they can inherit your kingdom. For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.
