God Rewards Believers Who Persevere During Temptations & Tribulations
Passage: 1 Peter 1
Children of God are encouraged to endure their trials and temptations for the sake of receiving God’s eternal reward in heaven. Our God is faithful; He will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we bear
Also, God will provide a way out of any troubling situation so that believers can praise his name. Therefore, Christians must consider it important to stay close to God with unwavering faith to receive God’s incorruptible crown of glory on the last day. It is written,
“In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ” (1 Peter 1:6-7).
Enduring Temptations Earns Christians An Eternal Reward
Every child of God ought to endure whatever challenges of faith he or she may face as the effort would be rewarded in heaven. God will crown Christians who endure persecutions and trials of faith in the last days. Christ has warned believers not to assume that Christianity would be easy.
Christianity would not always come with the “bed of roses” experience. The religion would come with its own challenge of persecutions and temptations, as certain people will attack Christians and persecute them for their faith. Some Christians would be persecuted to death! However, any Christian who endures faith to the end will be rewarded.
It is important that every Christian stands firm in faith and endure persecution to receive God’s priceless eternal reward in heaven.
Say This Prayer To Overcome Temptations and Keep Unwavering Faith In God
Dear God, please keep me in faith and let me remain consistent with your holy standard. Help me to endure persecution and temptation. Empower me through your Holy Spirit to stand firm against the trials and temptations so that I can make it to your kingdom. Let me qualify to hear your voice saying, “Weldone and welcome my good servant.” For in the name of Jesus Christ, I have prayed. Amen.
Remember: Expect Temptations If You Are To Inherit God’s Kingdom!
