True Followers Of Christ Must Depend On God For Solutions
Leah and Rachel were obsessed with their husband Jacob. They idolized him and competed to earn his favor; however, the duo was wrong since God alone should be revered and worshiped! Both women were wrong to trust in a mortal man for their fertility needs.
The scripture reported,
“Now when Rachel saw that she bore Jacob no children, Rachel envied her sister, and said to Jacob, “Give me children, or else I die!” (Genesis 30:1).
Jacob could not meet the expectations of his wives since he was just a mere human being.
Believers’ Faith Must Solely Rest on God
God wants His people to point their attention to him; He wants us all to serve him only. Jehovah does not want anyone to shift focus and assume a fellow human being or any other deity can replace him! We must all understand that God alone is infallible; He has no shortcoming, and He is perfect!
A person who idolizes a fellow human being will soon be disappointed because every human being has a fallible attribute. Humans are limited, while God is limitless! God can do all things, but humans can’t! God can make the rainfall in the morning and the sunshine in the afternoon. God also, makes the day and night run according to schedule! As a matter of fact, God is the supreme deity that every single person ought to serve.
It is unwise for anyone to serve a fellow human being. It is also wrong for anyone to cast his (or her) hope on a fellow human being as his great provider.
All people must come humbly before God and serve him with a tender heart. Each individual person must pray to God and hope for his assistance. Indeed Jehovah answers prayers! He knows how to grant the request of people who trust him. The omnipotent God who has all things at his disposal will definitely favor anyone who gives Him due honor as the Almighty!
Pray For The Ability To Honor God As Your Supreme Provider
Dear God, please give me the ability to honor you as the only supreme authority in heaven and earth. Do not let me share your glory with any mortal man or woman. Help me to exercise my complete faith in you so that I can earn the benefit of your obedience! Please forgive me if I have disrespected you in the past! From now on, I will consider you as my All-in-All; please give me the power to do so! Help me to prosper in all my ways so that I can bring more glory to your Holy name. For in the name of Jesus Christ I have prayed. Amen.
