Venture To Withstand Adversity With Firm Faith In God

(Passage: 1 Samuel)

STOP worrying, you are not alone, God is with you! If you are undergoing hardship and feely lonely, I ask you to reconsider your situation; you are not alone, God is with you. He will help you win your adversity.

The Bible states if God is for us, who can be against us!

The thought of loneliness and feeling of isolation may be the enemy’s plot to demoralize you from exercising your faith in God.

You are not alone, God is with you. He will help you overcome your adversity.

Again, God is beside you to help you fight and win!

One man in the Bible called David recognized the presence of God during his difficult moments. Hardship rolled against him like a surging storm, but the man was not moved. He exercises and absolute trust in God.

Just like any other story, it all started well for David when he summoned courage to fight and conquered a giant who oppressed his people. David fought and won the enemy of his country; everyone sang to his praise, but all those excitement soon sparked a rage of jealousy from the king of the land. King Saul considered David as a threat to his throne and was determined to kill him.

A terrible situation for David!

King Saul, who ought to be happy for David’s achievement and celebrate his courage to defend his land became jealous. He sought an opportunity to kill him by all means.

As David ran for his dare life, he never lost the consciousness of God’s presence.

The gentleman, David, saw the wall around him collapsing as he became a fugitive and slept in the jungles.

(Constantly watching his back, David sought a friend in the camp of his enemy.)

It was obvious that King Saul was jealous of David. Even his own son Jonathan recognized that. Here is an occasion of how the poor David was desperate to get help, even from his enemy’s son:

“Then Jonathan said to David, “Tomorrow is the New Moon; and you will be missed, because your seat will be empty. And when you have stayed three days, go down quickly, and come to the place wherein hid in the day of the deed; and remain by the stone Ezel. Then I will shoot three arrows to the side, as though I shot at a target; and there I will send a lad, saying, ‘Go, find the arrows.’ If I expressly say to the lad, ‘Look, the arrows are on this side of you; get them and come’—then, as the Lord lives, there is safety for you and no harm. But if I say thus to the young man, ‘Look, the arrows are beyond you, ’o your way, for the Lord has sent you away. And as for the matter which you and I have spoken of, indeed the Lord is between you and me forever” (1 Samuel 20: 18-23).

You are not alone, God is with you!

God Will Put Every Adversary To Shame

If you can be resolute in your faith, you will soon see how God will put your enemies to shame!

Children of God mostly face injustice in this world. They suffer abuse from people who are despare to take advantage of their godliness. This can be tough for you as a child of God, but never lose hope since God always defend his children.

Christians’ ultimate defense will come from God. Evil people who may currently have upper hands will soon see the judgment of God.

Since Christians are God’s apple eyes, they are bound to be defended by God.

Believers’ Ultimate Assurance

Nothing should give the believers more joy than the assurance that God will earn us his tremendous blessings in his kingdom. He will reward us for our steadfast efforts in spite the hardship that comes our way.

Meanwhile, not only will believers be blessed in heaven, we are also going to be blessed on earth!

God will ensure that people who stand with him on earth are never put to shame and their adversaries will He disappoints

Sometimes it feels like the world is against you. Do you know why? Because the devil has seen your strength. He has noticed you have the will and power to conquer every trial. Do not be afraid, instead pray for more strength and grace to be stronger.

Pray For Blessing & Deliverance

Dear God, please bless me beyond the limits of enemies’ persecutions and suppression. Let your glorious light shine upon me, and let my face radiate your beauty. Let me prosper on earth, and let me be blessed in heaven. For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.

FLEE APPEARANCE OF TEMPTATION – Genesis

temptation

Overcome Temptation, No Matter The Kind

(Passage: Genesis 39)

Fleeing from a dreadful situation comes naturally. Humans have the instinct to naturally flee from danger; we must also be able to teach ourselves to flee from every sort of temptation that endangers our spiritual life also.

Let’s learn from Joseph in the Bible who used his instinct to flee a pressing temptation. Potiphar’s wife invited Joseph to commit a sin with her, but he refused.

The young man rejected her offer and stated that he would prefer not to sin against God. He did not stand around to argue or give himself a time to reconsider the offer, rather, he fled.

Joseph said to Potiphar’s wife,

“… Look, my master does not know what is with me in the house, and he has committed all that he has to my hand. There is no one greater in this house than I, nor has he kept back anything from me but you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” (Genesis 39:8).

God’s Blessings Are For Those Who Overcome Temptation

Anyone who considers himself a true Christian ought to live a disciplined life. Such a person must be firm in rejecting sin and standing upright for God! He or she must understand and be able to decide what is good or bad, based on the word of God.

Indeed, God is ever willing to see his children maintaining the standard of righteousness at all times. He expects us to make him proud by avoiding any pit of temptation that Satan may introduce.

True children of God must be affirmative in their responses in saying “yes” or “no” as a situation may demand.

Meanwhile, Christians must be careful not to confuse outward behavior or an external appearance as a true reflection of holiness. True holiness comes from within, which eventually influences our outward behaviors.

Hence, it is imperative for a child of God to do the will of God at all times. God will reward every effort that is made in honor of his holiness standard.

Pray For God’s Power To Overcome Temptation

Dear God, please give me the strength to say “no” to sin and say “yes” to righteousness. Let your Holy Spirit empower me to satisfy your holiness standard at all times. Please help me to uphold the truth of your words, so that I can be worthy of your benefits in heaven. For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.

EXPECT TEMPTATIONS IF YOU ARE TO INHERIT GOD’S KINGDOM! – 1 Peter

God Rewards Believers Who Persevere During Temptations & Tribulations

Passage: 1 Peter 1

Children of God are encouraged to endure their trials and temptations for the sake of receiving God’s eternal reward in heaven. Our God is faithful; He will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we bear

Also, God will provide a way out of any troubling situation so that believers can praise his name. Therefore, Christians must consider it important to stay close to God with unwavering faith to receive God’s incorruptible crown of glory on the last day. It is written,

“In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ” (1 Peter 1:6-7).

Reward

Enduring Temptations Earns Christians An Eternal Reward

Every child of God ought to endure whatever challenges of faith he or she may face as the effort would be rewarded in heaven. God will crown Christians who endure persecutions and trials of faith in the last days. Christ has warned believers not to assume that Christianity would be easy.

Christianity would not always come with the “bed of roses” experience. The religion would come with its own challenge of persecutions and temptations, as certain people will attack Christians and persecute them for their faith. Some Christians would be persecuted to death! However, any Christian who endures faith to the end will be rewarded.

It is important that every Christian stands firm in faith and endure persecution to receive God’s priceless eternal reward in heaven.
