GOD BLESSES HIS FAITHFUL WORSHIPERS – Revelation

worship

Christians Have A Lot To Gain In Their Faithful Worship Of Christ

(Passage: Revelation 7)

God will reward those who faithfully follow and worship Jesus Christ with his new heaven and new earth.

He always rewards the people that are faithful in their relationship with him.

In fact, the promises of God clearly states that people who faithfully worship him will be blessed beyond what any person can imagine.

Believers of Jesus Christ from all walks of life are encouraged to honor God; worship, and faithfully serve him until the end.

The scripture states,

“… After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” (Revelation 7:9-10).

People who have suffered for the sake of their faith will rob in royal apparels; they will forget their pain. It is written, “They shall neither hunger anymore, nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes” (Revelation 7:16-17).

Consequences Exist For Not Worshiping God

There is no regret in serving God, but there are consequences for serving God.

People who faithfully serve God in this life will receive huge rewards from God in heaven.

The almighty God will honor Christ-followers with an imperishable crown of glory; they will have their past painful memories replaced with a better one.

Christ’s saints will dine and wine with him in heaven; they will sing a new song to his praise, and they will also remain in perfect peace forever.

Indeed, those who have confessed Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior while on earth will rejoice in the bosom of the Almighty forever! However, cruel people and those who have denied the lordship of Jesus Christ will not have a place in heaven. Unbelievers will struggle in hell where Satan and his demons will be condemned forever.

Pray To Be Saved and Worship God Faithfully

“Jerusalem on high, my song that city is, My home whenever I die, the center of my bliss; O happy place! When shall I be, My God, with Thee, to see Thy face?”

Dear God, please I want to go to heaven after I have left this earth, please count me worthy! I understand no one can qualify for heaven except he or she has confessed Jesus Christ as Lord; therefore, I declare today that I confess Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. I believe he is the Son of God and through him, all people will receive the forgiveness of sin.

I confess my sins to you Lord and I repent from them. As from today, I will faithfully serve you with all my heart, and I will do this till Christ returns to rapture me home. Please keep my feet standing within your gate, and let me forever fit to rejoice with you in heaven! For in the name of Jesus Christ, I have made my requests. Amen!

GOD’S WRATH AGAINST EVIL DOERS IS INEVITABLE – Psalm

evil

Children of God Must Stay Away From Evil Acts

(Chapter: Psalm 78)

God expects his children to be dead to sin and no longer live in it. Believers are indeed called to freedom, which must not be supplemented with evil practices.

Some children of God, in the Bible, could not stop to abuse their God-given freedom; it boomeranged!

Despite the blessings that Israelites have received from their Maker, they remained ungrateful as they continue to entertain evil practices.

God was offended and punished his ungrateful children. A psalmist studied the whole scenario and lamented:

“… Yet He had commanded the clouds above, and opened the doors of heaven, had rained down manna on them to eat, and given them of the bread of heaven. Men ate angels’ food; He sent them food to the full.

He caused an east wind to blow in the heavens; and by His power He brought in the south wind. He also rained meat on them like the dust, Feathered fowl like the sand of the seas; And He let them fall in the midst of their camp, All around their dwellings.

So they ate and were well filled, For He gave them their own desire” (Psalm 78:23-29).

The psalmist exclaimed:

“How often they provoked Him in the wilderness, and grieved Him in the desert! Yes, again and again, they tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.

They did not remember His power: The day when He redeemed them from the enemy, When He worked His signs in Egypt, And His wonders in the field of Zoan” (Psalm 78:40-43).

God despised the Israelites for their persistent sinful actions as the psalmist explained;

“For they provoked Him to anger with their high places, and moved Him to jealousy with their carved images.

When God heard this, He was furious, and greatly abhorred Israel, So that He forsook the tabernacle of Shiloh, The tent He had placed among men, and delivered His strength into captivity, And His glory into the enemy’s hand. He also gave His people over to the sword, and was furious with His inheritance.

The fire consumed their young men, and their maidens were not given in marriage. Their priests fell by the sword, and their widows made no lamentation.

Of course, God forgave and restored those who repented!

Then the Lord awoke as from sleep, like a mighty man who shouts because of wine. And He beat back His enemies; He put them to a perpetual reproach. (Psalm 78:58-66).

Evil Doers Will Pay A Price For Their Actions

Evil has consequences; people who engage in it will, sooner or later, pay for it.

Despite the fact that God has an enduring grace and mercy over humanity, he will still not tolerate persistent and unrepented evil acts.

Anyone who persists in evil will eventually regret his or her action and pay a heavy price for it.

God will extend his grace of repentance and forgiveness to sinners, but not for an indefinite period. At his own set time, he will punish anyone who refuses to repent.

Note:

God’s punishments are not predictable. He also knows how best to correct anyone to his satisfaction.

It is advantageous to honor God and receive his blessing than to receive his punishment.

Evil people should change from their wickedness; unrepentant sinners should turn a new leaf to receive God’s favor and blessing.

Pray For God’s Strength to Avoid Evil Practices

Dear God, I prefer to receive your benefits than your punishments. I have made up my mind to honor you and be devoted to you. I will not practice wickedness, and neither will I support wicked people.

My choice is to remain faithful and serve you unto the end so that I can receive your benefits in this life and in heaven.

Please empower me with your Holy Spirit to do things that are right so that I can be blessed by you at all times. For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.

Jesus prayer life and teaching

jesus prayer

In the past few posts, we have discussed who Jesus is and have examined his early life. So far we have learned of how he has powers to perform miracles, provided we obey. But in this series, we are going to be talking about another key aspect of his life – his prayer life.

Ideas used in this post are excerpted from the book “Who Was Jesus, Really?”

Jesus had the habit of performing miracles and doing good. But that’s not all there is to him. He also has a strong prayer life.

Every now and then, Jesus would slip away from his busy life and disciples to a mountain to pray. But the apostles weren’t stupid. They noticed it and asked him about it. They also asked him to teach them how to pray. Jesus’ reply reveals all we need to include in our prayers daily.

This particular prayer pattern was termed “Our Lord’s prayer” and it points out that the most important thing to do when praying is to give thanks to God.

He also asks us to be forgiving if we want God to answer our own prayers too. The Book “Who Was Jesus, Really?” clearly shows that we also can ask God for anything we want as long it is within his will and we believe he will do it for us.

Prayer + Consistency = Answer

Jesus also taught that we should always pray and not faint. This means that it is not enough to just ask God for anything, we must also be consistent in our prayer and we must not relent even if it seems like no answer is forthcoming.

Jesus wants us to be consistent in our faith and not give up. There are times that we miss the answer to our prayer because we aren’t sensitive enough.

Sometimes He sends something different from what we were expecting. Keep your eyes peeled when it seems like God is not paying attention; he is. He might be answering in a different way.

God answers prayers, but sometimes he may choose not to give us the answers as soon as we ask him because he wants to stretch our faith and confidence in his word. Therefore, we need to pray until we see the results.

Sometimes we need to pour out our heart unto Him just like Hannah did in the bible. She prayed until nothing was coming out of her lips. If we need to go to this length to have our prayers answered, we must.

Of course, there are other lessons to be learned from our Lord’s Prayer. The seventh chapter of the book discusses it all in detail.

Join us in our next post as we unveil more lessons from the life of Jesus Christ.
