SIGNS OF END TIME – THE UNDENIABLE FACTS – 2 Timothy

signs of end time

Christians To Ascertain Godly Practices To Meet The Rapture

(Passage: 2 Timothy 3)

Christians are to be careful and ensure that they are aware of the evil practices that symbolize the End Time. Believers must also ensure they do not participate in those evil practices that the scriptures have warned against. The Bible states,

“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!” (2 Timothy 3:1-5).

rapture

God Will Reward His Children’s Faithfulness In Him

In the last days, evil will perpetuate and dominate the earth; Christians must ensure they do not participate in such evil, as God will punish whoever does so. However, while some evil signs of end times like homosexuality are predominant, others are not. Some subtle signs of the end time include pride, self-righteousness, the lust for money, blasphemy, and others which are itemized in; 2-Timothy 3:1-5.

Since the evil signs of the end time manifest in multiple ways, believers must be sensitive to approach them with the power of the Holy Spirit. We must allow God’s Spirit to instruct us in dealing with evil factors! We must understand that the bible required us to outrightly reject evil practices of end times! Again, we must not tolerate them, but reject them! God is counting on Christians to be his true ambassadors on earth. We must represent him well so that people can have a clear understanding of his righteous standard and comply with it. Jehovah will honor any of his children, whether group or individuals who choose to promote his righteous standard and make him proud.

Pray For The Grace To Properly Prepare For End Time And Meet Rapture

Dear God, please save me from evil practices that have consumed our society! Give me the grace and confidence to stand up for your righteousness, and do your will at all times. Do not let me follow the multitude to do evil, but let my deeds and actions glorify your holy name. I also pray for my brethren throughout the world that you will empower us to promote your bible standard without any form of compromise. Let Christians throughout the world be your true representative so that the light of your gospel can continue to shine in this evil world. For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.

FAITH WITHOUT WORK IS DEAD – 1 Peter

faith

Advancing In Faith Is The Key To Righteousness

(Passage: 1 Peter 2)

All Christians are expected to grow in faith and be productive for our master Jesus Christ. No Christian should remain dormant in his or her spiritual assignments, as the scripture emphasized,

“Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby” (1 Peter 2:1-2).

believe

Growth In Faith Is Required To Fight Against Temptations

God requires Christians to build and maintain a good relationship with him. He does not expect anyone to remain a “baby Christian.” Babies drink milk, but adults eat solid food! Mature Christians conduct themselves honorably among gentiles, and they are productive for God (1 Peter 2:11-12). Therefore, anyone who professes to know God for a period of time must be able to bear fruits for Jesus. However, Satan would keep insensitive Christians busy with petty activities that can rob them of their blessings. The enemy can easily manipulate “Baby Christians” to think towards worldly vices.

Their thoughts and practices would promote malice, fighting, immorality, jealousy, pride, and others. As long as a Christian engages in such evil practices, he or she will find it difficult to advance in faith; such a person cannot bear abiding fruits for God’s kingdom. Any Christian who expects God’s blessing on earth (and in heaven) must lay aside petty sinful activities. A mature Christian must engage in activities that will always make God happy with him/her.

Prayer For Assistance From God

Dear God, please help me to be a serious Christian who will not be disappointed on the last day of judgment. Help me to focus on living a lifestyle that will glorify your name. Please do not let me be trapped by worldly and sinful activities. Help me to grow and mature in faith. Let my activities bring glory to your holy name from now on, and ever more! For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.

UNHOLY RICHES ARE THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL – Luke

riches

True Christians Should Avoid Unholy Means To Becoming Wealthy

(Passage: Luke 16)

Jesus Christ cautioned and warned his disciples not to be involved in unjust riches, but seek pure wealth that glorify God. Jesus said,

“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches? And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else’s property, who will give you property of your own? “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.” (Luke 16:10-13).

riches

Unholy Pursuit Of Wealth Goes Against God’s Will

The pursuit of clean riches is not evil, but the pursuit of unclean riches is evil. Hence, Christians must not pursue riches at the expense of holiness. As children of God, we must evaluate our ambitions, and we must ensure that God’s rules are not violated. We must also, strive to be involved in only careers that glorify God. It is important to note that God keeps records of our activities, and he will duly reward us in this life, and in heaven also.

Don’t be a hypocrite!

For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.

GOD DOESN’T SUPPORT SIN

sin

A True Believer Should Be Ready To Forfeit Sin For God

The Israelites assumed that God would ignore their sins and protect them from their enemies, but they were disappointed. Despite their attempt to bribe God with casual godliness, they were still punished! (The Israelites brought God’s Ark of Covenant to a battlefield with the hope that the Creator would confirm his presence with them). God refused to defend the disobedient children, and that caused them to lose their treasured Ark of The Covenant to their enemies.

However, God honored his name among the gentiles that hijacked the Ark of Covenant. He severed them with plagues and also publicly embarrassed their idols.  The scripture reported,

“When the Philistines took the ark of God, they brought it into the house of Dagon and set it by Dagon. And when the people of Ashdod arose early in the morning, there was Dagon, fallen on its face to the earth before the ark of the Lord. So they took Dagon, and set it in its place again. And when they arose early the next morning, there was Dagon, fallen on its face to the ground before the ark of the Lord. The head of Dagon and both the palms of its hands were broken off on the threshold; only Dagon’s torso was left of it. Therefore, neither the priests of Dagon, nor any who come into Dagon’s house, tread on the threshold of Dagon in Ashdod to this day” (1 Samuel 5:2-5).

In addition, God also significantly destroyed the enemies that tampered with his glory. Many of them experienced premature death.

God Reciprocates When Tested

God is not an ordinary being; he is supreme, and he must not be compared with any other deity. God will go an extra mile to protect his image among the people. The Creator has enough power to afflict and kill anyone who attempts to tamper with his glory. Hence, all people must tremble before God and honor him with due respect. No one should attempt to be involved in any exercise that might provoke God into exercising his severe authority. Also, every Christian should make a significant effort to witness Christ’s gospel, so that unbelievers can establish positive relationships with God.

Prayer For Forgiveness and Grace

Dear God, I have learned that it is dangerous to engage in any action that can provoke your anger. Therefore, I am determined to operate within the scope of your mercy. I am sorry for all my past wrong deeds, and I ask you to please forgive me. From now on, I will serve you with the integrity of my heart. I believe in your Son Jesus Christ, and I accept him as my personal Lord and Savior. Please write my name in the book of life, and let it be well with me throughout the days of my life. For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.

PROMISES MADE TO GOD MUST BE FULFILLED – 1 Samuel

promises

Good Christians Must Fulfill All Promises Made To God To Avoid His Wrath

(1 Samuel 1:11)

Hannah was barren; she prayed and asked God for a child, and she promised to dedicate any first child she has to him. Hannah said in her prayers,

“LORD Almighty, if you will only look on your servant’s misery and remember me, and not forget your servant but give her a son, then I will give him to the LORD for all the days of his life, and no razor will ever be used on his head” (1 Samuel 1:11).

God answered Hannah’s prayer, and she gave birth to a son called Samuel! The lady honored her promise and brought Samuel to God. She approached God’s prophet and said,

“Pardon me, my lord. As surely as you live, I am the woman who stood here beside you praying to the LORD. I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him. So now I give him to the LORD. For his whole life he will be given over to the LORD” (1 Samuel 1:26-28).

A Promise Is A Debt; It Must Be Fulfilled

Anyone who promises God anything is under an oath; he or she must fulfill whatever is promised. Jehovah does not take our promises as a joke; he will surely wait for the fulfillment of all promises! No child of God should be too complacent with his or her success and forget to fulfill any needed debt to God. Meanwhile, some people make special promises to God when they were in trouble. They might have said; “God, if you can help me in this situation, I will do so and so for you.” However, they soon forgot their promises once their prayers are answered. God will definitely not be happy with this situation. He wants his children to honor their promises and be grateful to him. He may decide to delay future blessings until his children honor him. Therefore, all people must respect God, and fulfill their promises to him.

Redeem your pledges to God as soon as possible!

Prayer For Forgiveness & Grace To Redeem Pledges

Pray for the strength to keep your promises.

Dear God, I am sorry if I have failed to honor my promises to you. I repent today, and I am determined to mend my broken relationship with you. I redeem all my pledges, and I will make you happy with my offerings. In fact, I will bring a special thanksgiving offering to you, and I will share the testimony of your goodness in my life to all people. Please grant me the grace to fulfill all my promises, and let me remain your favorite child. For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.

HUMILITY AS A WAY OF LIFE – Luke

humility

All Christians Should Imbibe Humility As A Core Trait

(Passage: Luke 18)

Jesus Christ explained the real meaning of humility and said,

“Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other men—extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.’ And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted” (Luke 18:10-14).

Benign Humility Radiates Through Actions

True humility is not proven with words, but with actions! All Christians are required to live in humility before God so that he can be pleased with us. Believers must consider others as important as we are, and we must treat them with respect. Also, Christians must not prejudice against others; we must offer people a sense of worth and make them feel important as God’s special creations.

It is also important, that we Christians, offer our petitions to God with respect. We should not pray with arrogance, but we must humbly tender our requests before him. God will surely grant our heart desires, and he will decorate us with his benefits.

For in the name of your Son Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.

SPIRITUALITY ENTAILS FOCUSING ON THE RIGHT THINGS – Psalm

righteous

True Christians Must Focus On Only What Glorifies God

(Passage: Psalm 73)

A psalmist almost collapsed in despair when he saw how wicked people prospered effortlessly. He confessed,

“But as for me, my feet had almost slipped; I had nearly lost my foothold. For I envied the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. They have no struggles; their bodies are healthy and strong” (Psalm 73:2-4).

However, the reality of life was dawned on the psalmist when God showed him what the end of wicked people would be. He stated,

“When I tried to understand all this, it troubled me deeply till I entered the sanctuary of God; then I understood their final destiny. Surely you place them on slippery ground; you cast them down to ruin. How suddenly are they destroyed, completely swept away by terrors! They are like a dream when one awakes; when you arise, Lord, you will despise them as fantasies” (Psalm 73:16-20).

The Righteous Will Always Be Rewarded Eternally

Children of God should focus their energy on receiving blessings from God, and not on being envious of wicked people. Wicked people may prosper today, but their prosperity remains temporal. However, the prosperity of righteous people will last a lifetime, and they will also be available in heaven. In addition, the prosperity of righteous people will be transferable from one generation to another; the descendants of righteous people will not suffer! Therefore, everyone who chooses to serve God should aim for righteous riches that have no bitter ending.

Prayer For The Grace To Prioritize Wisely

Dear God, please give me the grace to pursue righteous riches that will last a lifetime. Give me the grace to follow your righteous path, and not envy the wicked people. Help my services be acceptable before you, and let me receive your blessings in this present life, and in heaven also. For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.

GOD’S MIRACLES WILL NEVER CEASE – Judges

wonders

True Believers Will Experience God’s Grace And Wonders In Their Lives Forever

(Passage: Judges 13)

God promised to bless Manoah’s family with a Nazirite child, who would deliver the Israelites from their oppressors. God’s angel said to Manoah’s wife,

“For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.” (Judges 13:5 NKJV).

The child was born and he was named Samson. He grew up to become a judge in Israel, and God anointed him with extraordinary strength. He killed a lion with his bare hands, and he also killed 1000 enemies with a jawbone of a donkey. When thirsty after a battle, Samson prayed to God for water supply– and God answered him instantly. Jehovah used an earthquake to shift earth formations, and the faults instantly gushed out water for Samson to drink – so that he could quench his thirst.

God’s Wonders Is Like None Other

As far as God is concerned, wonders shall never end! He will perform wonders through his anointed servants, and he will ensure that his name is praised throughout the world. Meanwhile, God’s servants are to understand that His selections are not made by the virtue of their righteousness. God who calls, has his own special reasons for awarding specific talents and grace to anyone. Therefore, all servants of God must be humble and be careful not to abuse his grace and talents.

HUMILITY IS AN IMPORTANT FACTOR FOR SERVING AS A CHRISTIAN – Job

humility

True Believers Of Christ Should Embody His Humble Trait

(Passage: Job 1)

Job, in the Bible, was a rich man who portrayed a godly example for all wealthy people to emulate. Job could be described as a billionaire of his time, yet he did not allow his wealth to distract him from being a righteous person. Job served God faithfully, as the Bible reported;

“There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God and shunned evil. And seven sons and three daughters were born to him. Also, his possessions were seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, five hundred female donkeys, and a very large household, so that this man was the greatest of all the people of the East. And his sons would go and feast in their houses, each on his appointed day, and would send and invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them. So it was, when the days of feasting had run their course, that Job would send and sanctify them, and he would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said, “It may be that my sons have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” Thus Job did regularly” (Job 1:1-5).

the word

Humility Is Deeply Connected To Receive God’s Blessings

God does not hate the rich people; he loves both poor and rich people alike. Anyone (irrespective of his or her status), who faithfully serves the Lord will receive his favor. Rich people ought to learn how to be godly from Job in the Bible (Job 1:1-5). The man was humble, and he complied with the laws of God throughout his life. Job also taught his children how to fear and faithfully serve God. Job prayed for his children and ask for their forgiveness.

Meanwhile, besides the fact that Job was godly and raised in a righteous family, he also humbly related to both his neighbors and his servants. There was no record that Job mistreated anyone around him. In fact, Job’s lifestyle was so pure to the extent that it caught the attention of God in heaven!

Christians must understand that it is not sinful to desire riches, but it is sinful to desire riches with a wrongful mindset. Christians who desire to be successful on earth must assess his or her motivation, whether it is godly or not. The question we should ask ourselves is; is the motivation for riches based on an attempt to gratify worldly desires, or it is based on an attempt to glorify God?

Christians’ pursuit of success must be solely based on positive perception. It must be based on the goal to satisfy God and benefit the lives of others! A Christian whose heart is pure will receive God’s blessings beyond his or her wildest dream!

ISRAELITES REBELLED AND GOD SOLD THEM OUT – Jeremiah

God's grace

Christians Must Not Take God’s Grace For Granted

(Jeremiah 25)

God’s grace has a limit! God declared his judgments on the people of Judah and Israel for abusing the privilege he earned them. The people of Judah and Israel took God for granted and persisted in their sins despite his warnings. God reminded the rebels of their failures and pronounced his punishment on them. God said,

“‘Repent now everyone of his evil way and his evil doings, and dwell in the land that the Lord has given to you and your fathers forever and ever. Do not go after other gods to serve them and worship them, and do not provoke me to anger with the works of your hands; and I will not harm you.’ Yet you have not listened to me,” says the Lord, “that you might provoke me to anger with the works of your hands to your own hurt. “Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Because you have not heard My words, behold, I will send and take all the families of the north,’ says the Lord, ‘and Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, against its inhabitants, and against these nations all around, and will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, a hissing, and perpetual desolations” (Jeremiah 25:5-9).

grace lesson

God’s Grace Has A Limit

God is merciful, but his mercy has a limit. Anyone who aims at taking God for granted may be playing a risky game since God cannot be predicted. Jehovah can decide to take an action when a person has least expected; therefore, it is better to appropriately behave before him.

Everyone has the choice to establish a consistent relationship with God and enjoy his benefits.

A person who makes the choice to build a steady relationship with God won’t regret it. Such person will be automatically positioned to earn God’s unlimited benefits.

A person who thinks he can play a dirty trick on God by offering him a lip service and keep a secret sin will regret in the end. Sooner or later, God will catch up with the person and severe him with some punishments. Besides, God has designated a special day to judge all the hypocrites and haul them to hellfire. Anyone who dilly dally in faith should not hesitate to repent and repair his or her relationship with God.
