Building A Stronger Relationship With God
(Passage: Revelation 3)
Every child of God is expected to maintain a distinct relationship with his (or her) Maker.
No sitting on the fence. No one-leg-in and one-leg-out. We are called to devote ourselves to God and give Him our best services at all times.
If we expect God to reward our good services, then we should expect he will do the opposite if we don’t commit to his service fully. Children of God should prioritize the things of God and serve him faithfully.
God said through his word,
“I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth…
…Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see…
…As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent” (Revelation 3:15-19).
Blessed Are Those Who Keep Good Relationship With God
God will reward your efforts if you care to be closer to him. With this truth in mind, every child of God ought to examine himself if indeed meeting God’s expectations.
Caution has to be taken, not to mistake religious exercise as true worship. At least, any Christian should understand that his (or her) church title does not equate to true worship.
God will not save us based on personal claims and religious titles. He will examine our hearts and review our thoughts and actions prior to awarding his reward (whether positively or negatively).

The Basis of Faith
There is a tendency that people can confuse what matters of faith are. There is a likelihood that someone can imagine he is fit to receive God’s good reward by simply being “good to others.” – Faith matter is much more than that.
Anyone who is worthy of being called a child of God must obtain the salvation of Jesus Christ. He (or she) has to confess Jesus as Lord and declare him as the Son of God. He must accept him as his personal Savior.
Besides the confession of faith in Jesus, a person who’s worthy of being called a child of God must personally read his bible and practice his faith. In addition, he must also complement his faith with pious services to God.
God cannot be fooled. Lip services won’t be enough to convince him.
What are the things expected of a child of God?
- Engage in personal bible study
- Worship God
- Join a local church to worship and render services to God
- Spread the word of God to other people
- Aspire daily to grow in faith and serve God better
Are you a good Christian?
- A good Christian read and understand God’s law and carefully follows them
- A good Christian calls God his Father; he calls Jesus his Savior
- A good Christian supports good courses and promotes the welfare of others
- A good Christian daily seeks God’s face and asks for God’s indwelling Holy Spirit to satisfy God and overcome temptations
- A good Christian expects the return of Jesus Christ to rapture the saints to heaven
I love God. I give my heart to Jesus. I declare him as my personal Lord and Savior. #lord #loveu #loveyou #lovegodClick to tweet
Dear God, you surely desire good things from the people that you have called your own! You want Christians to serve you in Spirit and in truth; therefore, I am asking for the grace to meet your expectations. I make my declaration of faith by confessing Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. I am also asking for the grace and power to live up to your standard of holiness. Let my relationship with you be genuine. Let me consistently study your word and put them to practice. Please keep me fit for your kingdom. For in the name of Jesus Christ I have prayed! Amen.Building Relationship With God Through Prayer, Deeper Relationship With God Through Prayer, God Wants Relationship With Us, Having A Relationship With God Without Religion, Holy Spirit Atlanta, Holy Spirit Audio Download, Holy Spirit Avon Lake, Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Holy Spirit Catholic Church San Antonio, Holy Spirit Come And Fill This Place, Holy Spirit In Old Testament, Personal Relationship With God Essay, Rebuilding Relationship With God, Relationship With God And Church, Relationship With God And Man, Relationship With God And Religion, Relationship With God Bible Verses, Relationship With God Christianity, Relationship With God Examples, Relationship With God Images, Relationship With God Importance, Relationship With God In Hinduism
