Strive To Conquer Your Adversary

Christians Must Withstand Adversaries With The Faith That God Will Fight On Their Behalf

David risked his life to defend his country and kill his adversary, Goliath, but he was not rewarded adequately. King Saul, who ought to be happy for David’s achievement had become jealous, and he wanted him dead by all means. As David escaped for his life, he had to sleep in the jungle for at least three days waiting for what his fate would bring. The scripture reported David’s ordeal as Jonathan attempted to help him escape King Saul’s assaults;

“Then Jonathan said to David, “Tomorrow is the New Moon; and you will be missed, because your seat will be empty. And when you have stayed three days, go down quickly, and come to the place wherein hid in the day of the deed; and remain by the stone Ezel. Then I will shoot three arrows to the side, as though I shot at a target; and there I will send a lad, saying, ‘Go, find the arrows.’ If I expressly say to the lad, ‘Look, the arrows are on this side of you; get them and come’—then, as the Lord lives, there is safety for you and no harm. But if I say thus to the young man, ‘Look, the arrows are beyond you, ’o your way, for the Lord has sent you away. And as for the matter which you and I have spoken of, indeed the Lord is between you and me forever” (1 Samuel 20: 18-23).

God Will Put Every Adversary To Shame

The world system is somehow programmed to abuse righteous people and honor wicked individuals. Such an act of wickedness may persist, but it would not last. God will eventually judge the wicked people based on their wickedness. The Perfect Judge will honor people that have been marginalized and abused on earth. He will give them prestigious positions in his kingdom. Meanwhile, God will not only award heavenly blessings to his faithful children, he will also bless them on earth. He will ensure that people who stand with him on earth are never put to shame and their adversaries will He disappoints

Sometimes it feels like the world is against you. Do you know why? Because the devil has seen your strength. He has noticed you have the will and power to conquer every trial. Do not be afraid, instead pray for more strength and grace to be stronger.

Pray For Blessing & Deliverance

Dear God, please bless me beyond the limits of enemies’ persecutions and suppression. Let your glorious light shine upon me, and let my face radiate your beauty. Let me prosper on earth, and let me be blessed in heaven. For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.

GOD’S PLAN WILL ALWAYS COME TO PASS – Genesis

god's plan

Always Believe God’s Plan For Your Life

A true child of God will trust and believe God’s plan for his or her life. Be aware that you can’t succeed without the help of God!

If indeed you acknowledge the existence of God, you should also exercise your trust in God and believe in his plans for your life.

Children of God must know that God’s plan for us is for good and not for evil.

The God that we serve is too strong and too faithful to fail his promises.

Indeed, God’s plan cannot be compromised, because “Faithful is he that calleth.”

Has God ever failed in the past? Absolutely not. Let’s learn from the scriptures:

God brought Joseph’s dream into realization despite the various challenges that he faced from friends and foes.

Joseph, against all odds, saw the plans of God came to pass on his life.

The man Joseph approached his jealous brothers some years after they had attempted to kill his dream by selling him to slavery:

“… I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold into Egypt. But now, do not therefore be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here; for God sent me before you to preserve life” (Genesis 45:4).

God’s Plan Can Withstand Any Trial

The going may be tough but God will not abandon his children. God’s plan for your life will surely come to pass! (Say amen to that).

Be reminded:

God does not lie. God’s plan will ever stand sure for those who trust him.

As children of God, we must be assured that the Creator will fulfill his plans for us regardless of any circumstance that may arise against us.

An unimaginable situation may rise but God’s faithfulness will remain unchanged. Jehovah knows how to cause his miraculous light to shine at the end of any tunnel. He will prove himself faithful and cause his name to be praised.

Keep the faith, and be hopeful in God. People who know your story will soon praise God on your behalf.

Your story and testimony will encourage others to exercise their faith in God also.

Pray For God’s Plan Over Your Life

Dear God, I am confident that you are a faithful God who is able to turn any situation around for the benefits of your children. Since you are a faithful God, I know that you will turn my situation around to bring me joy. My testimony will honor your name.

Please give me all the reasons to praise your name, and let me testify to your goodness. For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.

FLEE APPEARANCE OF TEMPTATION – Genesis

temptation

Overcome Temptation, No Matter The Kind

(Passage: Genesis 39)

Fleeing from a dreadful situation comes naturally. Humans have the instinct to naturally flee from danger; we must also be able to teach ourselves to flee from every sort of temptation that endangers our spiritual life also.

Let’s learn from Joseph in the Bible who used his instinct to flee a pressing temptation. Potiphar’s wife invited Joseph to commit a sin with her, but he refused.

The young man rejected her offer and stated that he would prefer not to sin against God. He did not stand around to argue or give himself a time to reconsider the offer, rather, he fled.

Joseph said to Potiphar’s wife,

“… Look, my master does not know what is with me in the house, and he has committed all that he has to my hand. There is no one greater in this house than I, nor has he kept back anything from me but you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” (Genesis 39:8).

God’s Blessings Are For Those Who Overcome Temptation

Anyone who considers himself a true Christian ought to live a disciplined life. Such a person must be firm in rejecting sin and standing upright for God! He or she must understand and be able to decide what is good or bad, based on the word of God.

Indeed, God is ever willing to see his children maintaining the standard of righteousness at all times. He expects us to make him proud by avoiding any pit of temptation that Satan may introduce.

True children of God must be affirmative in their responses in saying “yes” or “no” as a situation may demand.

Meanwhile, Christians must be careful not to confuse outward behavior or an external appearance as a true reflection of holiness. True holiness comes from within, which eventually influences our outward behaviors.

Hence, it is imperative for a child of God to do the will of God at all times. God will reward every effort that is made in honor of his holiness standard.

Pray For God’s Power To Overcome Temptation

Dear God, please give me the strength to say “no” to sin and say “yes” to righteousness. Let your Holy Spirit empower me to satisfy your holiness standard at all times. Please help me to uphold the truth of your words, so that I can be worthy of your benefits in heaven. For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.

EXPECT TEMPTATIONS IF YOU ARE TO INHERIT GOD’S KINGDOM! – 1 Peter

God Rewards Believers Who Persevere During Temptations & Tribulations

Passage: 1 Peter 1

Children of God are encouraged to endure their trials and temptations for the sake of receiving God’s eternal reward in heaven. Our God is faithful; He will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we bear

Also, God will provide a way out of any troubling situation so that believers can praise his name. Therefore, Christians must consider it important to stay close to God with unwavering faith to receive God’s incorruptible crown of glory on the last day. It is written,

“In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ” (1 Peter 1:6-7).

Reward

Enduring Temptations Earns Christians An Eternal Reward

Every child of God ought to endure whatever challenges of faith he or she may face as the effort would be rewarded in heaven. God will crown Christians who endure persecutions and trials of faith in the last days. Christ has warned believers not to assume that Christianity would be easy.

Christianity would not always come with the “bed of roses” experience. The religion would come with its own challenge of persecutions and temptations, as certain people will attack Christians and persecute them for their faith. Some Christians would be persecuted to death! However, any Christian who endures faith to the end will be rewarded.

It is important that every Christian stands firm in faith and endure persecution to receive God’s priceless eternal reward in heaven.
