GOD WARNS AGAINST WICKEDNESS – Psalm

wickedness

You Are Encouraged To Steer Clear of Wickedness To Prosper

(Passage: Psalm 94)

An act of wickedness is a “No-No” to God! God hates wickedness; he hates the workers of iniquity! No wicked person will go scot-free in the presence of God unless repentance is exercised.

God will ultimately punish the wicked people (in due time) even though he may sometimes slow to act.

God’s arms are wide open to receive anyone who turns from his (or her) wickedness. The only means of avoiding God’s wrath is repentance.

The scripture described wickedness,

“They (wicked people) Slay the widow and the stranger and murder the fatherless. Yet they say, “The Lord does not see, nor does the God of Jacob understand” (Psalm 94:6-7).

God will repay evil people for their wicked acts as the bible stated, “Understand, you senseless among the people; and you fools, when will you be wise? He who planted the ear, shall He not hear?

He who formed the eye, shall He not see? He who instructs the nations, shall He not correct, He who teaches man knowledge?” (Psalm 94:8-10).

God Will Reward Genuine People But Punish The Wicked Ones

God understands all things. He knows those who are evil. No one can hide from his presence. He can identify the wicked people and catch up with them.

Jehovah God is interested to save any wicked person who chooses the path of humility.

Humble people repent from their sins and genuinely return to God. They do not capitalize on their mistakes, but they repent and learn from their mistakes. They also make an amendment and serve God faithfully.

The lesson to shun wickedness is meant for everyone. Any unrighteousness is considered an act of wickedness before God. Therefore, no one should elevate himself above this lesson.

We must all submit to the feet of Jesus Christ, confess our sins, and repent.

We must also declare Jesus Chris as our personal Lord and Savior to be saved!

God’s benefits shall remain with people who exercise godly fear in their activities. The blessing of God shall remain and abide with them forevermore!

Pray For God’s Help To Shun Wickedness And Inculcate Righteousness

Dear God, please help me to avoid wickedness and be righteous in your presence. Please make me a God-fearing person who cares for other people.

Do not let me practice wickedness, but let me be humble to exercise repentance.

Let my heart open to receiving Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior to be saved. Please reward me with your benefits in this life and in heaven also. For in the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.

GOD’S WRATH AGAINST EVIL DOERS IS INEVITABLE – Psalm

evil

Children of God Must Stay Away From Evil Acts

(Chapter: Psalm 78)

God expects his children to be dead to sin and no longer live in it. Believers are indeed called to freedom, which must not be supplemented with evil practices.

Some children of God, in the Bible, could not stop to abuse their God-given freedom; it boomeranged!

Despite the blessings that Israelites have received from their Maker, they remained ungrateful as they continue to entertain evil practices.

God was offended and punished his ungrateful children. A psalmist studied the whole scenario and lamented:

“… Yet He had commanded the clouds above, and opened the doors of heaven, had rained down manna on them to eat, and given them of the bread of heaven. Men ate angels’ food; He sent them food to the full.

He caused an east wind to blow in the heavens; and by His power He brought in the south wind. He also rained meat on them like the dust, Feathered fowl like the sand of the seas; And He let them fall in the midst of their camp, All around their dwellings.

So they ate and were well filled, For He gave them their own desire” (Psalm 78:23-29).

The psalmist exclaimed:

“How often they provoked Him in the wilderness, and grieved Him in the desert! Yes, again and again, they tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.

They did not remember His power: The day when He redeemed them from the enemy, When He worked His signs in Egypt, And His wonders in the field of Zoan” (Psalm 78:40-43).

God despised the Israelites for their persistent sinful actions as the psalmist explained;

“For they provoked Him to anger with their high places, and moved Him to jealousy with their carved images.

When God heard this, He was furious, and greatly abhorred Israel, So that He forsook the tabernacle of Shiloh, The tent He had placed among men, and delivered His strength into captivity, And His glory into the enemy’s hand. He also gave His people over to the sword, and was furious with His inheritance.

The fire consumed their young men, and their maidens were not given in marriage. Their priests fell by the sword, and their widows made no lamentation.

Of course, God forgave and restored those who repented!

Then the Lord awoke as from sleep, like a mighty man who shouts because of wine. And He beat back His enemies; He put them to a perpetual reproach. (Psalm 78:58-66).

Evil Doers Will Pay A Price For Their Actions

Evil has consequences; people who engage in it will, sooner or later, pay for it.

Despite the fact that God has an enduring grace and mercy over humanity, he will still not tolerate persistent and unrepented evil acts.

Anyone who persists in evil will eventually regret his or her action and pay a heavy price for it.

God will extend his grace of repentance and forgiveness to sinners, but not for an indefinite period. At his own set time, he will punish anyone who refuses to repent.

Note:

God’s punishments are not predictable. He also knows how best to correct anyone to his satisfaction.

It is advantageous to honor God and receive his blessing than to receive his punishment.

Evil people should change from their wickedness; unrepentant sinners should turn a new leaf to receive God’s favor and blessing.

Pray For God’s Strength to Avoid Evil Practices

Dear God, I prefer to receive your benefits than your punishments. I have made up my mind to honor you and be devoted to you. I will not practice wickedness, and neither will I support wicked people.

My choice is to remain faithful and serve you unto the end so that I can receive your benefits in this life and in heaven.

Please empower me with your Holy Spirit to do things that are right so that I can be blessed by you at all times. For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.
