OUR FAITH IS AS PRECIOUS AS GOLD IN THE SIGHT OF GOD – 1 Peter

persecution

Christians Should Be Ready To Face Trials and Tribulations In Their Quest for Eternal Life

Children of God are encouraged to endure their trials and temptations for the sake of receiving an eternal reward in heaven. Believers must stay close to God with unwavering faith to receive an incorruptible crown of glory on the last day. It is written,

“In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ” (1 Peter 1:6-7).

Endurance Is A Key to God’s Abundant Grace And Favor

Every child of God ought to endure whatever challenges of faith that he or she may face, as the effort would be rewarded in heaven. God will crown Christians who endure persecutions and trials of faith in the last days. Christ has warned believers to not assume that Christianity would be easy. Christianity would not always come with the  “bread-and-butter” experience. The religion comes with its own challenges; non-believers will attack Christians and persecute them for their faith. Some Christians would be persecuted to death! However, any Christian who endures faith to the end will be rewarded.

It is important that every Christian stand firm in faith and endure persecution to receive God’s priceless eternal reward in heaven.

Pray For Strength To Endure All Manners of Tribulations As A Christian.

Dear God, please keep me in faith, and let me remain consistent with your holiness standard. Help me to endure persecution. Empower me through the Holy Spirit to stand firm against the trials and temptations so that I can make it to your kingdom. Let me qualify to hear your voice “well-done and welcome my good servant.” For in the name of Jesus Christ I have prayed. Amen.

CYRUS SPONSORED THE RECONSTRUCTION OF JERUSALEM – Ezra

God’s Miracles will be Available for Believers

Passage: Ezra 1

One gentile king was inspired to sponsor the reconstruction of God’s Temple in Jerusalem. The king who had an idolatry background allowed God to inspire and use him for the good course. The king’s name is Cyrus, and he ruled the Persia Empire. King Cyrus encouraged the Jews to return to their homeland and rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. However, not only did King Cyrus mobilized and sent them to their ancient City of Jerusalem, he also asked the people of his empire to support the Jews. He instructed his people to provide both material and financial support for the Jewish project. The scripture reported,

“Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying, Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, The Lord God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he hath charged me to build him an house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Who is there among you of all his people? his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of the Lord God of Israel, (he is the God) which is in Jerusalem. And whosoever remaineth in any place where he sojourneth, let the men of his place help him with silver, and with gold, and with goods, and with beasts, beside the freewill offering for the house of God that is in Jerusalem” (Ezra 1:1-4).

God’s Power will Favor Christians

God has the divine ability to rally support for his children. No one is out of the radar of God’s usage for his good courses! In fact, God can even use an enemy to benefit his children! Jehovah has the autonomous power to use both kings and servants alike for the sake of glorifying his name in the lives of his children. Based on the significant fact that God is able to do all things to assist his children, Christians must exercise their trust in him!

Christians are the children of God. We are the people of his apple eyes. That is, Jehovah will take care of us even when a situation arises to tempt us into doubting him. Christians must not doubt God; we must trust in him at all times. Believers must be confident that God is exceedingly and abundantly able to do all things for our benefits. Of course, the call to trust God does not mean that a Christian should fold his hands in idleness! Every child of God still has an obligation to actively engage his or her task as he or she expects God’s miracle! People who actively trust in God will receive his help. The Creator will manifest his power to assist his diligent children now, and always!

God’s help will be sufficient for his faithful children.

Do you trust that God can help you in your situation? Don’t doubt him. Trust in him, and you will not be disappointed!

Prayer for God’s Help

God of miracle is still alive to answer every prayer.

Dear God, I have learned from the Bible that you are strongly able to do all things to benefit your children. Please give me the ability to trust you in my situations. Help me to patiently wait for your assistance. Also, help me to be diligent in my engagement as I exercise my trust in you. Please raise helper for me from every corner of the earth! Send my helpers from the north, south, east, and west! Please enrich me with your benefits so that I can testify to your goodness throughout the world! For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my request. Amen. => Subscribe here

CHURCH LEADERS MUST BE GOOD EXAMPLES – Titus

example

Gospel Ministers Must Represent Christ Well

Passage: Titus 2

Gospel ministers are required to be good examples. They must teach and lead other people to properly serve God. They must be good stewards of Jesus Christ for other people to emulate. Apostle Paul instructed Titus to be a good steward of Christ as he instructed Titus,

“But as for you, speak the things which are proper for sound doctrine: that the older men be sober, reverent, temperate, sound in faith, in love, in patience; the older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things—that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed. Likewise, exhort the young men to be sober-minded, in all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility, sound speech that cannot be condemned, that one who is an opponent may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say of you” (Titus 2:1-8).

Christians Have Obligations to Lead by Example

People who serve God in any capacity have an obligation to be godly examples. Every gospel minister must live a lifestyle that is suitable for other people to emulate. However, not only the church leaders are required to be good representatives of Jesus Christ. All Christians without an exception are charged to faithfully serve God and be good examples for the world to see!

Believers throughout the world must ensure to live in compliance with the laws of God that are stipulated in the Bible. We must not emulate any ungodly view, even if our society consider them as appropriate. Every Christian must consider it a priority to faithfully serve God in holiness.

Pray for the Ability to be True Representative of Jesus

Dear God, please help me to be your good steward in speech and in character. Help me to diligently study your word so that I can clearly understand your view in all matters. Empower me through the Holy Spirit to live up to your expectations, and let your light shine through me for the unbelievers to emulate. Please let my life become a living proof of your integrity in order to motivate unbelievers to serve you! For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.

CHURCH LEADERS MUST HAVE INTEGRITY – Titus

integrity

Christians Must Have Integrity To Honor God

(Passage: Titus 1)

Church leaders are expected to be people of integrity who lead others by example. Paul in his letter to Titus (and as the same principle applied to other Christian leaders) explained the qualities that every Christian leader must have. Paul wrote,

An elder must be blameless, faithful to his wife, a man whose children believe and are not open to the charge of being wild and disobedient. Since an overseer manages God’s household, he must be blameless—not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain.8 Rather, he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined. 9 He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it” (Titus 1:6-9 NIV).

Christians Have Obligation to Lead by Examples

Christians leaders have the obligation to be moral and lead people by example. Religious leaders must be people of integrity. They must have the characters that are good enough to emulate other people to faithfully serve God. Since the fact remains that church leaders are appointed to represent God in their services, they must be careful not to act in any fashion that can mislead and/or negatively influence their congregations.

Any activity that a religion leader performs ought to motivate people to love and serve God. Meanwhile, the congregants of the local churches also have the obligation to support their leaders as well. Church members ought to help ease the burden of their spiritual leaders by providing them any needed support they may need, which are inclusive of both the physical and spiritual assistance.

Members of local churches ought to pray for their leaders to properly operate under the guidance of the Holy Spirit so that they can prosper in their services and bring glory to God.

Pray for yourself and pray for your spiritual leaders.

Pray for Church Leaders

Dear God, please make me an agent of positive change in my local assembly. Enable me with the strength to be an active church member and give me the ability to support my leaders. Help me to pray for my church leaders and offer them any support they might need.

I seize this opportunity to pray for my church leaders. Please grant them courage to properly serve you so that they can prosper for your kingdom. Please empower all church leaders throughout the world to operate under the guidance of the Holy Spirit to adequately serve in your honor. Help your servants throughout the world to be faithful in their services. Give them the ability to be effective their leadership activities and prosper for your kingdom. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my request. Amen. => Subscribe here.

GALATIAN CHRISTIANS MUST BE STEADFAST WITH GOD – Galatians

steadfast

Christianity Requires Steadfastness

Passage: Galatians 3

Paul rebuked the Galatians for their inconsistent relationship with God. He challenged them to be steadfast with God since that is the only means of obtaining God’s mercy and inheriting his eternal kingdom. Paul scolded the Galatians for lack of consistency in their relationship with him. God said, “O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified?” (Galatians 3:1).

Christians Must Understand What Salvation By Grace Mean

Aspire to be a steadfast Christian.

Believers must understand that Christianity requires steadfastness. The religion is free but it does not accommodate unfiltered practices. Whoever wants to serve God should do so with full devotion. Christians must not assume their fleshly characters measure up to God’s standard.

Today’s Christians should learn from Paul’s letter to the Galatians who instructed they must not mismatch their faith with fleshly exercise.

Paul emphasized,

“For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise” (Galatians 3:26-29 NKJV).

God loves steadfast Christians.

grace

Pray to be steadfast with God

Dear God, please help me to practice true Christianity. Help me to be a steadfast person! I understand that I am saved by the grace of God; therefore, I must not abuse my freedom obtained through Jesus Christ. Please help me to live every day of my life celebrating the fact that I was saved by your grace! Help me to be consistent with your word so that I can prosper. GOD WILL DELIVER ISRAELITES FROM IDOLATRY – Zechariah

idolatry

God’s Standard Of Righteousness Is Irreversible

(Passage: Zechariah: 13)

Israelites had enjoyed practicing idolatry which has made them suffer terrible punishments from God; however, the Creator promised to rid them out of their sinful habit. God will give them a change of mind and remove evil practices from their land. Evil people in the land would be ashamed when God’s scepter of righteousness is lifted up. God promised the nation of Israel,

“And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land. And it shall come to pass, that when any shall yet prophesy, then his father and his mother that begat him shall say unto him, Thou shalt not live; for thou speakest lies in the name of the Lord: and his father and his mother that begat him shall thrust him through when he prophesieth” (Zechariah: 13:2-3 KJV).

lesson

Holiness is a matter of importance to God

God has a standard of righteousness that cannot be broken; he will not change his mind, but humans are to change their mind to comply with his standard. God’s principles remain immovable and unchangeable; he will not compromise those principles based on our “evolving” beliefs and practices. We humans may rationalize and come up with excuses, but Jehovah will remain immovable, and he will judge the world based on his set rules. Therefore, people of our generation should sit tight and serve God according to his standard. We should clearly define God’s expectations according to Bible standards and comply with them. We should desist from trivializing issues that are important to God.

The Creator expects his children to change from our sinful ways, and turn to him with purity. We must revere God and serve him with dignity so that he can bless us. If we make God happy with our holy living, he will make us happy with his benefits: Rain will fall in its time, and the sun will shine according to schedule. However, if we disobey God and take him for granted, his imminent judgments loom over us. People who walk against God’s laws will have themselves to blame in hell – unless they exercise repentance before it is too late.

prayer

Prayer For Power To Live In Holiness

Dear God, I understand that you are God of grace and mercy, but you are also God of fire and brimstone. You will not tolerate evil but you will judge evildoers; those who refuse to repent of their sinful ways will suffer consequences for their actions. Therefore, I submit myself to you today. I come to say, “I will obey your instructions and serve you well.” I am sorry for my sins and I repent of them all. As from today, my total life is dedicated to you, and I will serve you faithfully throughout my life! Please write my name in the book of life and keep me heavenly worthy. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen. => Subscribe here.

CHRISTIANS TO HAVE HONEST BUSINESS WITH GOD – ROMANS

honest

A Christian Must Have Honest Dealings

(Passage: Romans 2)

God despise hypocritical behaviors, but he will honor people who deal with him in honesty. The scripture says “Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things. But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth against those who practice such things. And do you think this, O man, you who judge those practicing such things, and doing the same, that you will escape the judgment of God?” (Rom. 2:1-3).

Lesson on Honest Dealings

God requires all people to do straightforward business with him; he does not want us to play hanky-panky game with him. He expects us to repent from our sins, and operate in holiness. The Creator does not want us to rationalize sins, but he wants us to repent from them. We must also make every necessary restitution as the Holy Spirit convicts us. If we walk uprightly with God, he will relate with us as his children and bless us.

Prayer of Grace to deal Honestly with God and Man

Dear God, please help me to serve you with honesty and walk with you in integrity. Empower me through your Holy Spirit to exercise genuine repentance and make necessary amendment. Let me demonstrate true Christianity so that I can be qualified for your eternal kingdom. For in the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.

PAUL ASKED CHRISTIANS TO RESTORE A BACKSLIDE FELLOW – 2 Corinthians

backslide

Christians Must Not Neglect A Backslide Christian

(Passage: 2 Corinthians 2)

Paul encouraged Corinthian brethren to carefully handle fellows who backslide from faith and make effort to restore them. Paul asked to restore a backslide Christian as stated,

“But if anyone has caused grief, he has not grieved me, but all of you to some extent—not to be too severe. This punishment which was inflicted by the majority is sufficient for such a man, so that, on the contrary, you ought rather to forgive and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one be swallowed up with too much sorrow. Therefore I urge you to reaffirm your love to him” (2 Corinthians 2:6-8).

service

Christians To Stand In Gap For A Backslide Christian

Standing Christians are charged with the responsibility to restore their fellow believers who have fallen from grace. They must make significant efforts to help restore a backslide Christian to the faith in Jesus Christ. God is interested in seeing a lost child restored. He is not interested to lose anyone to Satan’s kingdom! All people must understand that God is loving. He forgives sins and restores sinners. Whoever comes to him to seek forgiveness will receive it.

It is important to state that Jehovah does not coerce anyone into repentance. No one should exercise repentance under duress. God expects everyone to willingly come to him and repent of his/her sins. He will restore any humble person that seek his forgiveness. Any newcomer or a backslide Christian that exercise repentance and turn to God will be saved. An unbeliever/unrepentant soul risks losing God’s gift of eternal life in heaven.

No one should take God for granted and willingly commit sin since the Creator reserves measurable punishment for those who indulge in sin. It is important that everyone make an honest assessment of his or her life and make necessary correction needed to have a good relationship with God. A person who keeps a good relationship with God will enjoy his benefits in this life, and the one to come.

Repent of your sins and return to the Lord.

Prayer To Live Uprightly With God

Dear God, please I do not want to miss heaven, therefore, I confess my sins and repent of them. I am sorry for my past failures. I promise to start walking rightly with you. I will serve you with all my heart. Please equip me with your Holy Spirit to always meet your expectations and befit your kingdom. Help me to effectively work for the restoration of any Christian who backslide. Give us all grace to faithfully serve you unto the end. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
