WICKEDNESS CAN’T RIVAL GOODNESS – Luke

wickedness

Make a Choice to Avoid Wickedness

(Passage: Luke 22)

Evil reigns in the domain of wicked people. While goodness makes good people prosper; evil people will perish in their vices. Evil people will reap the consequences of their actions here on earth, and permanently in hell.

Wickedness didn’t just appear on the planet, Satan introduced it to make people misbehave, sin against God, and miss their opportunity of receiving God’s blessings.

People who engage in wickedness are more or less children of the devil; they will perish with their master unless they exercise repentance.

Don’t allow Satan to manipulate you into engaging in evil, because evil has consequences!

The world is so full of evil to such an extent that people can’t trust each other anymore. The horror gets to an extent that a son would betray his father, and a wife would want to kill her husband for money. What a life!

Children of God must run as far as possible from engaging in wickedness. Why? Satan does not only target the unbelievers, he also targets believers. Of course, this should not scare God’s children, but we still have to be vigilant.

(Christians must understand that we have God who is strong enough to help us successfully scale through in this wicked world.)

Fret not, God will help you overcome in this wicked world!

Be careful and learn how Satan stole Judas’s mind:

Judas Iscariot, who was one of Jesus’ twelve disciples sought bribery, and he handed over his master to the enemies. (What a wicked act!) The scripture reported;

“Satan entered Judas, surnamed Iscariot, who was numbered among the twelve. So he went his way and conferred with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray Him to them. And they were glad, and agreed to give him money. So he promised and sought opportunity to betray Him, to them in the absence of the multitude” (Luke 22:3-6).

God Saves His Children From Wickedness

You get God’s backing!

As many unimaginable wickedness reigns on earth, children of God has many lessons to learn, but we must not be afraid. God will help us win.

Believers should prepare their mind so as not to be disappointed. In this world, servants would betray their masters and family would disintegrate. Come to think of it, “trust” would be difficult to earn.

Hope remains for the believers in Christ Jesus. The earth that comprised all atrocities will not last forever!

God will soon bring this world to an end and send his children to new earth that is perfect (devoid of wickedness). He will send bad people to a permanent place called the hellfire.

To be just is to be rewarded in righteousness. People should be just and do good so that they can prosper.

Let’s have a simple mathematics to summarize this:

Person + Godliness – Wickedness = Eternal blessing

Pray To Be Spiritually Focused and Avoid Wickedness

Dear God, I understand that the present world is full of evil and you will soon destroy it; you will make a new world that will host your saints. Therefore, I want to be qualified for the new world that will soon come. Please count me worthy; help me to be mindful of what will make me remain qualified. Please let my faith in Your Son Jesus Christ qualify me for your eternal kingdom. For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.

SIN CAN HINDER GOD’S PROTECTION – Psalm

Sin Can Hinder God’s Protection

Sinners Will Not Be Opportune To Enjoy God’s Favor

(Passage: Psalm 81)

The talk about sin is no more popular in our contemporary society, but God’s view on the subject remains unchanged. Sin irritates God; God’s children must stay away from it.

The term (Sin) has become trivialized in certain parts of the world. There is a Sin City, where any activity is considered permissible. Meanwhile, God does not joke with sin. The Bible states, “the consequence of sin is death” (Romans 6:23).

Anything that doesn’t fall in line with God’s commandment is a sin. Whoever engages in it is a sinner.

Repentance is the only means to escape the consequence of sin.

Obedience to the commandment of God will always lead to blessings.

  • Expect protection is a part of the package to receive by doing the will of God. God will bless us (his children) and deliver us from anything that crosses our path if we do his will.
  • God will only perform his great miracles for people that serve him well. (Deliverance wasn’t difficult for God, but he denied Israelites of it because of their persistent sins.)

God said about blessing his children:

“Oh, that my people would listen to Me, that Israel would walk in my ways! I would soon subdue their enemies, and turn my hand against their adversaries. The haters of the Lord would pretend submission to Him, but their fate would endure forever. He would have fed them also with the finest of wheat; and with honey from the rock I would have satisfied you” (Psalm 81:13-16).

Sin Is An Unavoidable Term In The Sight of God

Repentance is the key to receiving God’s mercy. We must obey God and do his will to prosper.

A person who refuses to repent from his unrighteousness is considered an unrepentant sinner that will face God’s judgment in the end.

While repentant sinners will obtain God’s mercy, the unrepentant sinners will not have a place in his presence. They will become an outcast; miss God’s kingdom, and only qualify for hell.

People who persist in their evil ways will have many benefits to lose in the end. They will miss heaven and have their ultimate place in hellfire.

Understand these facts:

  • It is advantageous to do the will of God, even though it may first appear unpleasant.
  • Also, an act of yielding to the will of God may invite opposition, but the effort to do the will of God will pay in the end.
  • Obedient children of God are winners. They will win in every aspect of life.

Prayer For Help From God

Dear God, please keep me fit to receive your blessing always. Help me to steer clear of sin and walk worthy of your expectations. Keep me within your safe radar so that I can continue to enjoy your grace of peace, protection, and prosperity. Please keep me ever worthy of your benefits! For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.

God’s Plan Will Always Come To Pass

evangelising

Children Of God Must Trust & Believe In God’s Plan Always

Christians must always put their trust. We must know that God’s plan for us is good and not of evil. Our God is too faithful to fail, too faithful to go back on His plan for us. God brought Joseph’s dream into realization despite the various challenges that he faced. The young man officially introduced himself to his jealous brothers years after he was sold into slavery. He spoke to them saying;

“… I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold into Egypt. But now, do not therefore be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here; for God sent me before you to preserve life” (Genesis 45:4).

God’s Plans Can Withstand Any Trials

God’s plan will ever stand sure for his children. The Creator will fulfill his plans for us irrespective of any circumstance that may arise to challenge them. Indeed, the storms may have struck and unimaginable situations might have happened, but the faithfulness of God will remain unchanged forever.

Jehovah will cause his light to shine at the end of any tunnel of problems we might have, so that we can praise his name. Our stories and testimonies will cause people to praise God. They will confess the faithfulness and supremacy of God for what they have witnessed.

Do you know why God is the most awesome friend you can have? He loves you, He is always there for you, He never breaks his promises, and He never abandons you! What else could you look for in a friend? Never give up on him, because He will never do the same.

Pray For God’s Divine Help

Dear God, I am confident that you are a faithful God! You are able to turn any situation around for the benefits of your children. I know that you will handle my situation in a way that will bring me joy and honor your name. Please remember all your promises and fulfill them in my life.

Cause your light to shine at the end of my tunnel. Also, I humbly ask that you give me the ability to praise your name once I have obtained my deliverance. Let me have every reason to testify to your goodness. For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.

God Is Majestic

death

All Christians Must Worship & Honor God Every Day

Elihu described God as majestic, and the only supernatural one, who reigns supreme on earth. Indeed, God is the greatest of all beings, and all people ought to proclaim his dominion. His power cannot be compared with anyone or anything. There is no one like him, no one can do the things he does. All power in heaven and earth bows to His majestic nature. Elihu talked about God, saying;

“As for the Almighty, we cannot find Him; He is excellent in power, In judgment and abundant justice; He does not oppress” (Job 37:23).

God’s Power Is Unimaginable & Incomparable

People ought to reference God’s unique ability as they praise him. God is great in power and possess superb creative abilities beyond our comprehension! A mere looking at the sky tells many things about God. He set the clouds in layers, and decorated it with amazing color formations. The sun adds a different type of beauty to the sky, as it rises in the west and sets in the east. All these things prove the greatness of God!

God has infinitesimal wisdom, which Je employed to do all things. He created plantations and also, made water to run in its course!

Perhaps the most amazing thing that God used his creative power to make was a human being. He specially made humans in his resemblance and gave each one different unique abilities!

The depth of his wisdom is incredibly unsearchable! He is a deity that cannot be compared to any other. Therefore, it is important that every human submit to God.

Every individual must worship God and praise him from the bottom of his/her heart. Also, everyone ought to be appreciative of God’s goodness by accepting his Son Jesus Christ as his/her personal Lord and Savior.

There is no other being greater than God himself. The Bible Says that He was present even when there was nothing. His word was created to save mankind and free them of sin. He is truly a supreme and mighty God!

Proclaim God’s Supremacy & Promise To Serve Him

Oh Lord, what an awesome God you are who reigns supremely in the affairs of men! You are such a powerful God who does all things powerfully! You deserve my praises, and I will praise you at all times! You have done many great things for me, which I will not take for granted.

I will, therefore praise you in the morning, praise you in the afternoon, and praise you in the evening. I will praise you everyday of my life! Please I ask for your grace and strength to keep my promises.

Help me to remain committed to you so that I can serve you faithfully in everyday of my life. I understand that I must confess your Son Jesus Christ as Lord to be saved. (He died to save my soul). Therefore, I confess Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. I promise to faithfully serve him from today and forever! Thank you God for your saving grace! For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.

ACTIVE DECISIONS OVERCOME CHALLENGES – Nehemiah

decisions

Faith In God Delivers Us From Challenges

(Passage: Nehemiah 4)

You can’t completely escape challenges in this world, but be sure you will overcome if you are a child of God.

Believers must have confidence in God that we serve. We must make efforts through prayer and fasting to stop our opponents, and not allow them to keep us down. We serve God who has all the powers to take control of any situation.

Of course, a Christian should not fold hands in idleness and still expect to have victory. We have to bravely think and act.

Children of God must not hesitate to take any action as it honors God and necessary to confront our challenges. As we take the step, we must have the assurance that God is on our side to earn us victory.

Let’s learn from the Bible men who took courage to forge ahead in spite of the challenges they faced:

Two rebel leaders in the Bible, Sanballat and Tobiah challenged Nehemiah who wanted to glorify God by rebuilding the wall of Jerusalem (A ruined city once dedicated to God’s honor).

Sanballat and Tobiah did all they could to stop the rebuild efforts, but they failed.

Part of the effort from Sanballat and Tobiah includes mockery and false accusations. None of those efforts stuck, because Nehemiah and his people prayed and were determined to do the will of God.

The scripture reported how Sanballat and Tobiah attacked Nehemiah and his men on the mission to repair Jerusalem’s wall:

“But it so happened, when Sanballat heard that we were rebuilding the wall, that he was furious and very indignant, and mocked the Jews. And he spoke before his brethren and the army of Samaria, and said, “What are these feeble Jews doing? Will they fortify themselves? Will they offer sacrifices? Will they complete it in a day? Will they revive the stones from the heaps of rubbish—stones that are burned?” Now Tobiah the Ammonite was beside him, and he said, “Whatever they build, if even a fox goes up on it, he will break down their stone wall” (Nehemiah 4:1-3).

No Opposition Can Derail God’s Children In Their Decisions

Nehemiah and his men summon the courage to keep working for God. They were determined not to yield to enemies’ pressure. (Of course, expect they also prayed!)

Nehemiah and his men prayed and acted against their enemies; they stood to defend themselves, and they had good success.

Nehemiah said in his prayers:

“Hear, O our God, for we are despised; turn their reproach on their own heads, and give them as plunder to a land of captivity! Do not cover their iniquity, and do not let their sin be blotted out from before you; for they have provoked you to anger before the builders…

Therefore I (Nehemiah) Positioned men behind the lower parts of the wall, at the openings; and I set the people according to their families, with their swords, their spears, and their bows. And I looked, and arose and said to the nobles, to the leaders, and to the rest of the people, “Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, great and awesome, and fight for your brethren, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your houses” (Nehemiah 4:4-5; Nehemiah 4:13-14).

Trust In God and You Shall Conquer Every Challenge

Be prepared: Christian opposition like Sanballat and Tobiah will sometimes come around to frustrate the efforts of God’s children. We must be prepared not to let them succeed.

The enemies may mount oppositions that are not limited to physical and spiritual assault; their ultimate goal is to make God’s children compromise their stand with God. But will they win? No, they won’t win if we are prayerful and are determined in our positive decisions.

The more we prepare, the better our victory will become. The enemies don’t encourage good ventures. They are all out for evil, so we must be prayerful and sensitive.

Be sensitive not to allow your enemies to fulfill their mission. Identify the enemies’ scheme, be prayerful, and make a godly tactical decision to stop them.

Ask God for the grace to trust him and he will surely help you overcome any dire situation.

Pray For God’s Grace To Make Proactive Decisions.

Dear God, I trust in you and I pray that you will give me the grace and wisdom to appropriately relate to issues of life. Help me to have the wisdom and strength needed to overcome any challenge that enemies may want to bring my way.

Please frustrate anyone who may want to stop my efforts in serving you. Let the generation of Sanballat and Tobiah be defeated in my life!

I receive your grace to remain confident so that I can continue to serve you in Spirit and in truth, as you required.

Please keep me victorious always, and let me ever testify to your goodness. For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.

God’s Counsel Is Vital For Good Decision

Christians Must Ask For Spiritual Guidance When Making Decisions

A Christian who wants to make a good decision must be a prayerful person! He presents his thoughts to God through prayers. All Christians must understand that we have no other choice than to satisfy God by leading a life of holiness! We must operate in love and honor God with our practices at all times. King Herod lost his mind during his birthday party; he allowed a little girl manipulate him into killing John the Baptist. The scripture reported;

“But when Herod’s birthday was celebrated, the daughter of Herodias danced before them and pleased Herod. Therefore, he promised with an oath to give her whatever she might ask. So she, having been prompted by her mother, said, “Give me John the Baptist’s head here on a platter.” And the king was sorry; nevertheless, because of the oaths and because of those who sat with him, he commanded it to be given to her. So he sent and had John beheaded in prison. And his head was brought on a platter and given to the girl, and she brought it to her mother.” (Matthew 14:6-11).

Christians Must Be Prayerful To Make Good Decisions

Christians must ensure they are ruled by the Holy Spirit at all times. We must not allow any emotions cloud our judgement and make any irrational decisions that will cause us to sin against God. Indeed, humans are fallible; we are prone to mistakes, and we must rely on the leadership of the Holy Spirit to guide our thoughts and actions in order to appease God! We must carefully evaluate our thoughts and actions so that we are sure it is up to the Bible standard. We must ensure not to comply with any counsel that contradicts God’s law.

Making the right decisions is vital for growth and productivity. The devil seeks to hinder this progression and can cloud our judgement. It is important that we ask for God’s guidance when making decisions always! This way, we will be on the right side always!

Pray For The Guidance Of The Holy Spirit

Dear God, please help me to operate under the leadership of your Holy Spirit, so that I can always make a decision that glorifies your name. Please do not let me yield to the leadership of the flesh so that I will not sin against you! Please guide me to make proper judgements and conclusions void of emotions.

Also, don’t let me follow evil counsels! Let my thoughts and actions lead to the glorification of your name at all times. For in the name of

Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.

A CHRISTIAN MUST BE SPIRITUALLY SENSITIVE – 1 John

sensitive

Be Sensitive To Differentiate Between A True and False Teaching

(Passage: 1 John 4)

Every child of God must train himself (or herself) to be spiritually sensitive at all times. We must allow the leadership of the Holy Spirit in our lives to understand what the true gospel is. The Spirit of the Lord will also empower us to live by the truth of the word of God.

Hey, not all teachings out there are true; many lack validity in the word of God!

Fake teachers are out there to deceive those who are not sensitive in the word of God.

Any person who is not well-rooted in the word of God will fall victim to false teachings. Also, Christians who are not spiritually sensitive will derail from their faith.

Christianity is not to be merely practiced. It comes with discipline. That is, we must be firm and sensitive with our understanding of the word of God.

A Christian must not be naive to believe just any teaching that he or she hears.

It makes no sense to just believe anything that we hear “in the name of God” without confirming its validity in the Bible!

It is essential that we are sensitive to differentiate heresy from the true word of God.

The Bible warned,

“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God:

Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God.

And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world” (1 John 4:1-3).

false teacher

Keep Your Fire of Faith Burning Rightly

The Bible has warned that a time will come that many people who are in faith will start to fall for false teachings. Many will be deceived.

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables” (2 Timothy 4:3-4).

As a child of God, you have to guide your faith so that you won’t become a victim of false teachers, false prophets, fake pastors, and the like.

Our salvation received through faith in Jesus Christ is very precious, and we can’t afford to yield that to Satan. (Remember that Satan, the thief, is not willing to only steal. He comes to steal, kill, and destroy.)

Be firm as a Christian!

As a child of God, you must understand that Christianity is a firm religion that is consistent with God’s principle.

Christianity is a religion with a sound foundation. This means anyone who claims to be a Christian must know what he or she stands for.

Everyone must understand that Christianity (faith in Jesus Christ) is a religion established to satisfy God’s interest. As believers, we must hold firm to our faith in Jesus Christ without wavering.

What Must A Child of God Avoid To Escape False Teaching?

Avoid any teaching that lacks bases in the scripture. That is, you have the obligation to carefully evaluate any teaching that you receive – This can also come to you in the form of advice, preaching, or prophecy.

Be spiritually alert and ensure to reject whatever comes to you if it does not properly align with the word of God.

A Christian must reject any teaching that only entertains but lacks consistency with the Bible.

God’s principles taught in the Bible must remain our final authority.

teaching

Pray For Spiritual Sensitivity

Dear God, I understand there are so many misleading and unbiblical teachings out there. I don’t want to be a victim. Please help me to be spiritually sensitive to know what is right. Help me to engage in personal Bible study to achieve personal spiritual growth.

Please help me to hold firm to the faith. Give me the strength to faithfully serve you unto the end. For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.

CHRISTIAN UNITY PROMOTES GOSPEL – Romans

unity

Unity: Christians Must Unite To Make Gospel Thrive

(Passage: Romans 14)

Christians must understand the need for unity in the body of Christ and actively work to promote it. Believers must work together as one for the common goal of honoring God, and promoting his kingdom.

Not only is scripture frown at segregation, but it also requests that we put aside things that can degenerate to unhealthy competition and rivalry, which of course, are detrimental to gospel expansion.

Let’s consider this example:

For a Christian to guide against disunity in Christian fold, he (or she) must not allow his background, tradition, or church doctrine to cloud his judgment in relating with other believers. He must properly relate with all Christians.

A Christian must not be obsessed with his church denomination and look down on others. Instead, we must operate in the spirit of unity to promote the name of Christ.

The Bible states,

“He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord; and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it. He who eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he who does not eat, to the Lord he does not eat, and gives God thanks. For none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself. For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s” (Romans 14:6-8).

Human Tradition Plays No Role In Our Salvation

Our various traditions and backgrounds have not earned us the salvation of Jesus Christ.

We are saved by grace, and grace alone!

Christian must understand that lack of unity is harmful to God’s kingdom.  Unfortunately, Satan tricks people to focus on another matter that is more or less self-gratification (pride).

A person who thinks he is better than others is proud. Period! No Christian should be found in this sector.

God expects us (his children) to serve him in faith, purity, and liberty of the Spirit, without getting carried away with our races, colors, and backgrounds.

The most important thing that everyone must commonly share is “Faith in Jesus Christ.” Other things are secondary.

According to Romans 14:6-8 earlier quoted,

God allows true worship with the liberty of the spirit. If a person is adept in Mosaic Laws to only worship God on Saturday, let him do so! If he refuses to eat pork, do not dishonor him! Also, a vegetarian who believes in eating only vegetables in conjunction with his Christian services has not sinned! If we are being honest, God has not said that human traditions equate to our salvation, as they are only relevant to this earth!

Jesus’s offer of salvation is the only God-approved passage that will lead us to heaven. Anyone who believes in Jesus Christ will be saved. This, of course, is irrespective of a person’s culture or background.

Christians ought to serve God humbly, plainly, and truthfully. Plus, avoid all forms of self-righteousness that can affect gospel expansion.

Pray For God’s Intervention

Dear God, please save the Christian community from a plague of disunity. Let the brethren understand the importance of Christian unity and work towards it. Let the brethren stop condemning one another, but rather focus on gospel expansion. Help all Christian denominations accept each other and work in unity so that more souls can be saved and your kingdom be populated.

Please strengthen the body of Christ throughout the world to pursue the righteousness that you required, so that your name can be praised among the gentiles. For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.

SAMUEL, A BIBLE GIANT

Bible Giants Of Faith – Episode 5

samuel

This series hasn’t just been an interesting one but one full of inspiring stories of the giants of old. So far we’ve been able to go through the lives of four different leaders (Abraham, Moses, David, and Ruth).

This episode continues the trend as we discuss another great man of faith, as seen in the fifth chapter of the book Bible Giants of Faith by James TaiwoThe direct reference to this story is found in 1 Samuel Chapter 1

Samuel- a prophet and an Israelite legend who kept a consistent relationship with God throughout his life.

Samuel’s life began with Hannah’s very touching scene, praying to God at the tabernacle in Shiloh.

Hannah pleaded with God to allow her to bear a son because she was barren. She prayed vigorously so much to the extent that Prophet Eli, who was passing, thought she was crazy.

Hannah vowed to God (promised) in her prayer that if He allowed her to bear a son, she would dedicate the boy back for His service.

This means the boy would have to serve God all the days of his life.

God answered Hannah’s prayer; she conceived and bore a son, and named him Samuel, saying, “Because I have asked for him from the Lord”.

Samuel grew and started his life under the care and training of Eli, the priest and judge of Israel at that time, just as her mother promised to dedicate him to God.

God began to speak to Samuel from his childhood. His first message from God was quite sobering and was to be delivered to Eli.

The message required that Samuel must announce God’s punishment on Eli’s two wayward sons, Hophni and Phinehas.

Samuel delivered the message as God sent him, but, unfortunately, Eli did not respond with an expected action, rather, he disrespected God. 1 Sam. 3:18

Eli’s disrespect to God did not go well. God told Eli that his descendants would die in their flower age and He would also choose another family to serve in the priestly line.

God’s punishment came on Prophet Eli and his family. The lives of Hophni and Phinehas (Eli’s sons) were cut short as it happened that war broke out in Israel that claimed their lives. Eli also collapsed and died when he heard the news.

The unfortunate event in Eli’s family accelerated Samuel’s position, and he became God’s ordained prophet and the judge of Israel.

Samuel’s Growth and Leadership

As Samuel grew and faithfully conveyed messages from God, it became obvious that God was working through him. He demonstrated great courage during his walk with God, as not seen in his boss, Prophet Eli.

  • Samuel was not afraid to tell the truth of God’s word even when it was not convenient.
  • He successfully led the Israelites to defeat the Philistines, their enemies, and the land prospered under his watch.
  • Prophet Samuel was the one who anointed Saul as the first king of Israel after the people approached him and expressed their willingness to have a king.

prophet

Some Lessons from Prophet Samuel

  • Prophet Samuel obeyed God throughout his life, and there was no fault found with him. (It is noteworthy to mention that Samuel, out of all Israelites’ leader, had no flaw recorded about him).
  • As Christians, we must be bold and be firm in following God’s instructions, as this can be learned from Samuel, who did not hold back in telling his boss (Prophet Eli) everything that God was determined to do because of the sins of his family.
  • Christians also must follow God’s instructions to the letter. Our decision to obey God may sometimes make us unpopular, but we still have an obligation to obey God anyway.

There are many more lessons to learn about Samuel as they are explained in details in the book Bible Giants of Faith.

Brace yourself for the next episode as we discuss Peter and the lessons we can learn from his life.

BEING STEADFAST MAKES YOU GOD’S PRIORITY – Luke

steadfast

Children of God Must Be Steadfast To Scapethrough To The End

(Passage: Luke 21)

Jesus Christ educated his disciples to prepare for the persecutions that would come against them. He warned that Satan and his agents – (Anti-gospel individuals) would persecute believers. Christ asked us (his followers) to endure any difficult situation that may come our way for the sake of his name. Jesus also promised to give us the strength needed to overcome our challenges. He will empower us with his Holy Spirit and help us finish our race well.

Christ the Savior said,

“They will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons. You will be brought before kings and rulers for my name’s sake.” “You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers, relatives and friends; and they will put some of you to death. And you will be hated by all for my name’s sake. But not a hair of your head shall be lost” (Luke 21:12, 16-18).

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).

Christian Be Steadfast In Your Lord!

Every child of God must understand that persecution is not foreign to those who are determined to go to heaven. Satan will test our faith, but we must be steadfast until the end because we are going to receive some huge rewards from God.

God will award the steadfast Christians (Those who endured persecutions) with an everlasting reward in his kingdom. God will reward every successful Christian with an imperishable crown of glory in his kingdom!

The road to heaven may be rough, but it has a smooth finish. We have the word of Jesus as our backing! That is, Jesus has promised to give us the strength we need all the way until we are able to successfully finish our Christian race (Luke 21:12, 16-18).

Do not be afraid of an affliction; be happy that you’re a child of God. Any affliction that a Christian suffers on earth would be nothing to compare with the great reward that he (or she) will receive in heaven.

Indeed, being steadfast in faith is a worthwhile effort since there shall be countless joy to experience in heaven!

Pray for the Grace to be Steadfast

Dear God, please endow me with the grace to be steadfast in my Christian work. Empower me with the strength to endure any challenge that may come my way, and help me to hold firmly to my faith till the end so that I can be hugely rewarded in your kingdom. For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.

Remember: Being Steadfast Makes You God’s Priority
